It takes some serious tutoring, but Tove is willing to learn

So it is with the Olgar school of sobering... "Before he meets her, he's got to get sober" Two barrels, one with warm almost hot water, the other, with cold..icy. Sylvi watches on... still getting used to the.. oh gee, she's blue again.

Olgar Dunks the Scathach's head in one, then the other. Bancroft does wake up "Wha? " Sploosh "I..." Splolsh "Where..."

"Ohhh...oh, whoa..." She shakes out her arms a bit and readjusts to the elevated perspective. "Right, okay...that's me again. I..." Then a look of shock. "Oh, wow...that was incredibly stupid...." she mutters.

"YUP." He says "Want to talk about it ..." Still working the sidhe, "Now?"

"Dad...don't drown him!" She's half-way between real concern and avoiding the question.

*SPuttering then Bancroft *"What? stop.. I.. i'm fine I.. fine"

"No you're not, you screwed up and lost your girl, but you might be a bit more sober now," Olgar says and lets the young man go.

Olgar looks at his daughter, "And you want to talk about what details were especially stupid?"

"Uhhh...well...piskies are curious and, um, like to go places...." A pause. "Want some coffee, Bancroft? I can get you coffee..."

"He can get his own coffee" Olgar says "he knows where to find it. Carry on"

Bancroft rubs at his head 'Oh I think I gave my resignation to the Baron"

She bites her lip. "Right. Um. Well..." A frown as she tries to piece it together. "So...I suggested that Dagmar -- she got turned into a satyr, not sure if you saw that -- anyway, I suggested that we go to Firnost. I really wanted to go somewhere and explore, anyway. So we started to Firnost, but I wanted to show her by the bathroom trod at Everwyrd, but then I started thinking about how I never really explored Everwyrd, and I've heard the stories about how the Chieftain and Count Hemlock used to live there before he was even a baron, I think, and so I got curious and so did Dagmar, and we started exploring, but then this train showed up on the tracks and we hopped on...and it took us to...um...Goblin Town...."

She turns to Bancroft and says, "I'm pretty sure he'd understand if you un-resigned."

"Goblin Town? Wait, you took the train..how did...you don't even have a token." Olgar says

"I...um..." she swallows. "I picked a guy's pocket," she eventually mutters.

Bancroft says "And Siv, what do I say to... you went to Goblin Town? that's a very dangerous hold. Full of traps and riddles"

"Oh, we solved two of the riddles!" she says to Bancroft. "Or three, I'm not sure...."

She's sort of still braced for her father to explode about the pick-pocketing.

"I'll handle this part of things, Bancroft. YOu walk around a bit, get the blood flowing." Olgar looks at her "You were a Piskey, they can't always help it."

"Yeahhh...." Then an admission, "and it's kind of fun. And I was good at it. And he got it back, at the end!" she adds quickly. "So no harm!"

"And BETWEEN?" Her dad crosses his arms

"Um...so...we were exploring Goblin Town, and there was this clockwork butterfly, and we followed it and, eventually, we got into this maze, and we were getting through it, but then we ended up in this parlor with this guy who wanted to hire us to deliver a package."

"Bancroft go get coffee." Olgar says. Bancroft nods and heads into the lodge.

Then Olgar looks at his daughter "Tell me about this job?"

She watches the sidhe go, grateful that he's not listening to this part. She takes a deep breath. "Yeah, so...he said he wanted us to deliver a package...but then it turned out that he wanted us to sneak a package inside another package...and he kept saying that 'no person' would get hurt, which...the way he said it was kind of sketchy...but Dagmar picked up on it way before I did." She blushes and looks down. "I just thought the job sounded like an adventure and paying work. It sounded...kind of fun, at first."

"Dagmar is not dumb, but I am surprised you didn't notice that sooner. Tell me more about this guy? Kith, name? Etc and what he DID say "

"I should've. I was just...caught up in it all..." A deep breath. "He's a nocker, and he said his name is Osmun Glytch. And he said he wanted us to put a package in with a statue that was being delivered to another court. Dad...we figured out after...he was sending it to the High King's Wintercourt. We think so, anyway."

She looks both concerned and guilty now.

"Glytch, of course it's Gyltch. " A curse under his breath "Guess he's doing well for himself. "

"You know him?"

"Knew him." A grunt

"Oh! He said...he said he wanted to hire us because he needed two workers who would be totally different after the job was done."

"He has a way of reading powerful magics. Probably sensed the cookies"

A bit of a frown. "You worked for him, didn't you? Sometime way back."

"Okay, you need to find time to thank Dagmar for keeping you clean of this one. Osmun is not a monster, but he is an opportunist, and he would do a lot for Goblin Town, and hang the rest." At her question he raises a brow "Babygirl, your dad never bowed well. HEll, I sometimes sass to the Chief, you know that. No, I didn't work for him...it was more complicated than that."

"Yeah...Dagmar was...she kept stamping her hoof..." Again, the blush. Then she sighs about the rest. "Dad...can you tell me? I mean...I'm figuring out that things are a lot more complicated than I thought, and...and I've got to start dealing with that, I think. I mean, there's a lot of fae who have to figure out how to get by, a lot younger than me. So...I've got to understand. Tell me?"

"One thing at a time... did Osmun mention anything else? "

She frowns and focuses....

"He wanted it done quickly...and...he didn't want people to know about it..."

"He said he'd been watching us since we got into Goblin Town...some kind of wards or something?"

"Hah. I think he was.. " A wince "Shit... did he get your names? Does he know you live here?"

"Oh, and he said it was...the thing was going to borrow something, but not drain the other hold. I think. He was really talking around the details."

A wince. "I called Dagmar 'Dags' so he knows that much...."

"Ohhh....oh, yeah, he knows I'm Sylvi." A groan. "Dad, I'm sorry...I wasn't using my brain..."

"mmm but maybe not Sylvi King. " Olgar says "You weren't, but you were litterally not your regular self. I'm more annoyed you went on a strange train when I've told you all your life about dreaming transport dangers. No it's not a trod, but seriously... no text? "

"I know...I could kick myself...but I just figured that, whatever happened, we could handle it. Like, we'd find a way to deal with it."

"Well, in the end you didn't take the bait... so.. we'll adapt. " He sighs "Gonna have to talk to your mom."
