"I would like to go to the sea to do it" she says

"Ah... " Jaymes says "I cann't protect you in the sea" he says

"What about the lake?"

"I suppose..." A bit of a sigh "Yes that would do"

"Sorry, Mom."

"no, it's okay... daughter" she smiles at that

Jaymes raises a brow, and a slight smile at somethinng

"It'll still be fun. And it'll be dark soon, so we can watch the sunset..."

"Okay, road trip" He says "Come on, get in the truck you too.."

"The sunset, oh yes and.. a picnic would be a great idea too" Tove insists

Jaymes realizes he's giong to be the practical one "Okay but we have to hurry"

"Okay, okay... I'll get food!" Off to the kitchen.

"OH GAWD I'M SHORT!"

"Use a stool" her dad says pragmatically

"I can climb it!" She calls back, and there's a sound of clattering.

"maybe i should help..whoa..nearly tripped there.. " tove says from the main room.

"Not finding any of this comforting" Jaymes says

She trots back in, with a basket and a grin. "Let's gooooo."

Annd the three head out only to see Siv coming in

"Siv?" The selkie says

"Tove?" The Sidhe says

"Hey Siv! We're gonna have a picnic and watch the sunset and Mom is gonna try being a seal! Wanna come?"

"I thank you, no" Siv says, gathering dignity like her about a cloak. Something has made her less happy than before but on her it looks ... well, noble. "I'll watch the fire."

"Best someone does" Jaymes says trying not to dwell on his neice's visage. "Let's go then, Tove, Dagmar"

"Okay, cuz, see you later!"

Siv does smile a BIT at that, and inclines her head and wiggles fingers both in fare well.

Getting into the truck, Tove needs a bit of help but says "She was lovely, I mean, breath taking"

"Right?" Gusty sigh. "SO pretty."

Odd grunt from dad at that one.

Tove lays her head against the shoulder of her husband and puts an arm about her daughter

and they drive.

Dag sings along with the radio - country, classic rock, whatever it plays.

Tove joins her, and eventually, even Jaymes hums along.

After all, how can one be glum with Walking on Sunshine playing and a satyress sinnging?

Exactly! She bounces along with the beat, even if she can't go all out with dancing.
