Braunsbedra wanders through the woods. Thick jacket on her shoulders over a tee shirt, heavy denim pants and serviceable shoes

When she finds the fallen log, she is startled. She supposed she shouldn't be, but she immediately bends down and looks it over for rot. "Not too furking bad. "

She runs her tough tipped by longish fingers along it, feeling, and seeing where it's strength lies.

Betty nods at it, "Oh yo'd be good. Strong, with just enough flex to handle the stress."

Browndog is first! Running the fastest! Oak and Edie have their own duties, but Browndog has a special place in Dagmar's heart, so he gets to run in the woods with her...

Browndog is ordinary, not a fae hound.. just a mutt! he's not as smart, or big... he's ordinary. But he loves and he tries and he's fun!

He's a good boy. Dagmar hurls a stick in the air, forward down the path.

Betty looks up at the sounds, flushes, and sits down on the log.

Dagmar doesn't spot the nocker right away.

Browndog grabs the stick and bounces happpy gloaty he's got the stick!

"Yes, you do. Good boy. Now - give."

He's got the STIIIIICK

Apparently Browndog would rather she play chase and earn the stick

"Arrrgh, dog!" Exasperation, but good-natured. A pause... "..Hi?"

She looks around.

"Oh! Hey Betty."

"What's up?" Betty says

"Well, I was given freedom after homework. You?"

"Got evaluated" A sigh "i'm rusty in english ..like I furking don't talk no good? Furk that"

"uhg. They gonna send you to school?"

"Apparently home schooling with a bunch of trolls.. no offense, is the most likely at this stage. Farm trolls. I mean, they helped save our asses so I'm grateful, but I'd go nuts on a farm"

She huffs. "Least you can go. The DeBukes are okay. The Farm isn't too bad, I like the horses and Miss Evergreen..."

"It's just over the Bridge, but I'm not allowed."

She plops down on the ground next to the log, watching Browndog dance with the stick still in his mouth.

Well, at that, Browndog realizes that the girls are not chasing, and walks over hoping to entice.

The Nocker smirks "He'd get more fun if he'd learn to bring it over and let you throw it again"

"I know. I'm trying!" She holds out her hand. "Give?"

He backs up, wags!

"He's a rescue - there was all this flooding, right? TwoBit and Odin are from that, too..."

"Ohhh, you want me to chase. I see you. Give?"

"So, Rivervale helps you, and you furking pay it forward. You're nnot assholes. I'll give you that"

When she does not chase, the dog drops the stick

Dagmar reaches for the stick. "Yeah. It's... I mean, they're crazy people. Like, they'll just do stuff... for nothing, you know?"

"But they also put their money where there mouth it. It's not fake. Stupid, maybe. Crazy. But... " A shrug. "It doesn't seem fake."

Aha! she wants the stick! Browndog swoops, snatches it before she does, and lopes off in a wide circle!

"Yeah" She looks thoughtful, "Lots of fake good people out there. Act all tough and then sell out' she gazes at her shoes, then smiles at the dog "And now he wants keep away"
