"Dagmar? " Tove's voice comes out in their house

"Yeah Tove?" A shout back.

"It's time to pick your costume for Carnivale"

"Can't I just re-wear Thor from Halloween?"

"You sure? I've been working on something I think you'll like"

Tromp tromp tromp - Dag goes towards where Tove is at. "Like how?"

"Well, I took some parts of a thor costume and..." She shows it "That THrud drawing you liked so much? The one Earl did?"

"Oh, right! Yeah, she's cool..."

"See, here's that flask and ... mm" Amused look "Just cool eh? For a while I thought you were going to make a shrine to her"

"Well..." Purple. "I mean, she's cool..."

"She is, and while I find Sir Earl a bit..creepy, he seems a good man" She nods . The doorbell rings and Twobit charges downstairs

"Creepy? I didn't think so. He seems safe."

"Not quite that kind of creepy, more like..ah hard to say... like I expect him to narrate a horror movie rather than be the killer?" She rises, "let's see who..oh, the ward. I totally lost track of time"

"Ward?"

"What do you need a ward for? Is Frank making it?" She follows Tove towards the rarely-used front door.

"Other definition, the ex prisoner who needs a place to stay for a bit?" Down she goes.

"OH! The foster!"

"I hope she's cool..."

"Well, she's been through a lot so if she's stand offish, well, you know that is for many"

"Well, yeah. I get it."

Tove opens the door "Hello. I'm Tove. Please, come in, come in"

Dagmar... well.. lurks.

"Thanks." The girl comes in. It would appear she's been granted some clothes from sponsors, Dagmar knows the look... the mismatching clothes taken because they fit. Not because they are what you like.

The troll watches - wary, but more openly curious than she would have been only a few months ago. "...hi."

"Hey, uhm look.I appreciate you big blues taking me in. Nockers aren't exactly known for...furkit. I'm not always good with people. Yknowwhada I mean?"

The girl is a nocker, not many nockers in Bergan, but Betrand has visited. So it's not like they're unknown to Dagmar. SHe looks Dagmar's age.. and has a surly clown look kind of thanks to those face patterns.

"Nockers make shit and swear. I've met one before."

At that the girl grins a bit, "We make GOOD shit, and swear, yeah. youse guys are okay... I'm Braunsbedra, you can call me Betty if you like" She looks around the Dutch Pennsyvania farm house "Huh, someone touched this place up and furking recently."

Tove says "i'm Tove, this is Dagmar. Do you need help with your things?" She notices the backpack the girl has.

"Ah, it's mostly drek in there but it's like..tools. so... yeah I'd like to keep em but I can lug em about."

"We fixed up the house. It used to all be, like, baby-poo yellow."

"Shit.. that's got no style..yeah. Tall ceilings though. Which I guess makes sense. " Braunsbedra looks around and then down, where at her heels is Twobit, checking her shoes out... "I've seen rats bigger than that"

"She thinks she's a real dog."

"You poor dumb bitch" The nocker says with profound sympathy

"AHEM..." Tove says

"What? She's a bitch, i mean, that's the term right? Female dog?" Braunsbedra protests

"This is true," Tove says "But let's try to mitigate some language a little. Or keep it to..nockerisms?"

"I don't think bitch is a real swear word... and, like, Bertrand never actually says fuck..."

"Not surprised, we tend to say Furk.. get by more that way. Fuck is the bomb every one makes a stink about" Betty agrees.

"girls" Tove says

"Yeah?"

"I really must draw the line at the F word." Tove says firmly

"Oh. Okay."

"So..when you say F word, do you mean Furk or Fuck? I kinda need clarity here." Braunsbedra inquires

"I mean.. the latter" she says.

"Oh... " A nod from the nocker "Okay. Got it."

"Furk." She tries it out, thoughtfully.

It rolls off easy enough, close enough

"That doesn't mean ... " Tove sighs realizing where this is going
