Zane smiles "Ha." A look "Okay, enough of the Zane show. I can do Disney, but honest? If I can talk Nadeen into going, she's totally getting a wig and going as Rapunzel....just so I can be Flynn. I totally got smolder."

"Oh, yes! That's perfect for you two!"

"Yeah, now i just have to talk her into it. Advice, Colton?" Zane says "I mean, you must be doing something right "

"Lot of luck" Colton admits "Actually, I think I came on as a bit TOO sure of myself for a bit."

Sylvi looks skyward and tries not to have heard that part.

Colton then advises "Flowers and chocolates show your earnest intent, some girls find it hokey, but they appreciate the message I THINK. Nadeen is worried what folks might think? Remind her it's Carnival. If there's one night social positions get flipped anyway..." he shrugs

"Colton, you're a genius" Zane says "It's Carnival, titles DO get flipped around and stuff"

Sylvi blushes a bit. "Flowers and chocolate do go a long way."

"And the flattery" Lucia mutters under her breath "Dont' forget the flattery"

"Yeah..." she adds "It's one night where it would be really appropriate for her to be seen partying with commoners and...maybe kissing one in public."

"Flattery's okay. Compliments are better."

Zane smiles "Thanks guys. Uhm.. Eden," he says "It was a great idea to help clean up, but I need to get going and you know. and..."

Eden says "Invest in a florist?"

"Right" He smiles, then Zane says "See you guys later, okay?"

Colton whispers in Sylvi's ear "You do make compliments easy, I just talk about the girl I see and know and..boom, tell the truth"

Sylvi purples and smiles at the whisper, and squeezes his hand. "Um...it looks like you guys are pretty much done, so we better get back to, um, patrolling."

Lucia smiles "Sure, Eden ad I will brainstorm about her escape plans for Carnival"/"The Disco Dozen" Eden agrees

"Perfect. C'mon, Oak, Edie!"

"WOOF" "Wuf" And Edie seems ready to beat her brother in a rematch race

"Okay, race to...the bridge!" She points back into the woods.

AND they're off!

And soon it's just Colton and Sylvi again "It's true you know? I could talk about the shape of your lips and it would sound good, because they're so kissable"

She feels her face heat again. "You just like making me turn colors."

"Not juust" He assures but yes, a touch of smugness leaks out

She hip-checks him a bit. They're definitely walking at a pace that doesn't threaten to catch up with the dogs right away. "So...um...Carnivale? I mean, assuming we're not on guard duty...do you want to go to the commoner party or the noble party?"

"I was thinking noble... it's got better food, better music...and better costumes... in my opinion" He says

She's quiet for a moment, then nods. "I don't know about the music, but...okay, yeah...."

"But.. I know you're not always crazy about noble holds. Though ever since alaska you seem better about them"

"No, I...I had fun at Carnivale last year at EarthRunes. A lot of fun. And yeah, it's....I guess I was going through a thing for a while, but I kind of don't mind the whole noble hold thing as much as I did. So...so sure."

"Hey, it's cool, you've trusted me, if you prefer the manor house I.. well ,I think I can take a chance on that. I mean, all that matters MOST to me is the company" He looks over at her

She smiles and bites her lip. "I...let me think about it?" Then she stops and moves close to claim a kiss from him.

Kiss claimed ,and he claims one back

touching her cheek as he does so.

A soft sigh at the touch, and she lingers in the kiss.

Edelweiss is mildly annoyed that she defeated her brother but got no witnesses.

Maybe it's familiarity, but Colton is an even better kisser than he was a few months ago

When they part, and after she manages to catch her breath, she murmurs, "You really did used to come on too strong...but...I'm really glad I gave you a chance, Colton."

"Not as glad as I am..and yeah, sorry. I think I was compensating for the arm and stuff... oh heck, I don't know" he shrugs "I... I guess nuance is a teachable skill"

"Well, I mean, I get it. You were recovering, still, in a way." A pause, and a smile. "I still can't believe I got you to dress up as a disco ball. I am never letting that go."

Colton laughs "Should I have fought that one harder?"

"Nope!" She says, smiling smugly. "And it got me into that Jasmine costume, so fighting it harder would not have benefitted you in the slightest."

"Yeah, I won't ever forget That costume either."

Admiring glance at her belly button

"Yeah." She enjoys his expression. "You know...that first kiss...might not have happened without...."

"Without?"

An embarrassed look and she sort of half-shrugs. "Nevermind. Nothing. Let's go find the dogs."

"Hey" he says giving her hand a soft squeeze to urge her to stay "Please. Tell me"

She stops, caught. "Just...it was a satyr thing. You know...the Gift."
