"Very loud, so everybody could hear you. And enthusiastic, I think everyone knew you were taking your job seriously."

"Whew" Gerd says "You were good too. Very stoic. Like your dad."

A brief smile at that. "Yeah, well."

"And is there really a bat rat in the shiphouse?"

"Sure. We found it on patrol in McGillicuddy's basement"

"Gross and neat"

"ahem" Jimmy says. Looks like now that the crowd has cleared out they notice him.

"Hey Jimmy."

"Hey, uh, Dagmar, you got a moment?" the piskie says as he runs fingers over Jo curiously, the coffee making device on the table so interesting

"Sure?"

"it's about May," he says "Her birthday?"

"Ohhhh... it's soon?"

"Yeah" he says waving JO around as he explains "I .. I like her a lot, but you know her better than I so " he shrugs "Any ideas?"

"Mmm. You're her boyfriend, I think she'd like romantic stuff. Flowers. Something that says she's beautiful. Maybe a necklace?"

"yeah? Huh. I do know her favorite color. Maybe something with that. It's.. she's really sweet you knwo and I want her to ..sometimes I feel like I don't get noticedk, but she's mortal and she still notices me, at least lately" A blush "A necklace? Do.. do you know if she likes.. well, I'm not sure I can afford silver or gold" Embarrassed

"It doesn't have to be, like_ fine jewelry. It could just be something pretty. Or, like, a charm with a basketball, or her initials, or a heart with her birthstone? Something that seems her."

"Thanks" he smiles "You're... thanks. I owe you. Okay, don't get her necklace. I call dibs , fair?"

"Fair! I won't!"

"Thanks. " he pauses "you're trying to get her to go to track right?"

She nods. "Yeah. Gonzales, too."

"maybe try something related to that? she likes sports gear. I thought about that from me, but like you said, not very. uhm romantic?"

"Exactly. ANd May, I think, really likes girly stuff."

"She does" He says with a nod "Other girls make her feel like she's not pretty enough to be a girl," His brows knit "I don't like that by the way. if she wants to do quote un quote guy things, that's fine, but it's not nice how they try to make her feel lik e can't do girl things"

"I... right? Yeah, May's good people, and should be allowed to be happy."

"Yeah ,and you're cool. You and Gonzalez are her best friends. You don't judge" He says "So. .you know, thanks." Then he looks awkard "Okay. I've talked more than I have in like a week. I need to go home and lie down" He might be joking

And he starts to leave.

"Jo Jo jo?"

"Seeya Monday?"

"Sure" He says, and walks out ..the sound of Jo Jo receding as their coffee pot goes with him

Gerd's brow knits "Uhm.. Dagmar? Did he just..." She looks around "ooo you wwant to go after him or shall I?"

"Oh, crap! Jimmy! Coffee!"

And Dagmar goes out and, shortly returns with Jo. Geez, Piskies!

"Now, " A voice hisses, "is the time for the revolution against troll oppression. No longer will we be trapped under the wait of blue tyranny...will you join me?"

Lucia sighs "Eden, we already said we'd help clean up litter on the park trail while Chief Brekke was gone , you don't need to do an independence day speech."

Zane smirks "I think it's kind of cool" THe kids have their bags and long stick with nail thing at the end and keep walking down the trail

The three poke and pick up litter. Candy bar wrappers and plastic bottles

"Wow, I thought I was a pig" Zane observes

Suddenly a galloping sound...and Oak and Edelweiss come charging out of the woods, tongues lolling and tails wagging, right at the group of cleaners. Apparently, somebody told them to have a race.

"We're too late, Hades knows we're free" Eden says

LUcia rolls her eyes "Hey, Edie, hi Oak"

Oak gets to the closest of them just a bit faster than Edelweiss does, and he barks his victory before panting and accepting victory pants. Edelweiss looks around for her share of consolation prize petting.

Zane gives her a pat "You'll get it next time"

It's a couple of minutes before Sylvi and Colton follow the same path the dogs came down.

"Hey!" Sylvi waves, looking only slightly flushed.

Colton waves too "Hi" He smiles, and if his hair is a bit mussed, well, that's probably the wind and totally not a girlfriend playing with it earlier

Sylvi glances around the park. "Oh, you guys rock. Thanks."
