Siv's dimpling turns into shock "Dad, you were cool?"

Oh yes, the scathach is now FOCUSED on his meal

"Not noticeably. But, I didn't fall off or lay it down too much."

"Sorry, mum" Siv squirms jUUUST a bit

“Your father and I have ridden together before, long before you were born.”

She turns her attention to her salad as she blows her daughter’s mind.

Yup. Siv seems stuck on processing this .

And Bancroft looks at Siv's expression of confusion with a look of absolute adoration that slips past his reserves

Frank chews.

Brekke observes that look thoughtfully, then clears her throat. “So...How is Mr. Teaneck preparing for the event later this month?”

"From what I undeerstand, he's thinking of letting Mr. Locke, his superior, handle the events on a grander scale. Are you doing the same or will it be at your ..ah office as well?" Brian asks as he enjoys the excellent meal

“I will leave it to Mr. Locke’s experience and expertise, as well.”

The chicken parm seems quite nice.

"Mmm' Siv turns to Bancroft "Ahem"

Brian says "yes?"

"That..seems to indicate we both will have that..holiday off" Siv hints

"Yes, it seems likely." Brian agrees

Brekke clears her throat uncomfortably.

Siv shoots him a LOOK

Brian blinks then, "Ah.. I dont want to make your parents uncomfortable"

Siv says "That's ok, they're nearly always uncomfortable"

Brian gives Siv a LOOK, almost trollish "Siv." A tisk

"Fine" SHe sighs and muttters in her food "You can ask me later"

A grateful glance to the young man.

Brekke might notice that the tone and look he just used reminds her of someone else, probably his mother..but mm

Frank may have gone stone-deaf; he's just methodically eating.

A moment of thought there, then on to a safe topic? “Brian, you are still in school, correct? Does it go well for you?”

"I graduate soon. " he says "I should have done so before this but when I moved to the states there was a hold back of sorts. I don't always enjoy the social aspects of it. I'm a private person who because of my ..nature, draws attention from some. But I do like learning even if I'm not a natural academic. I've got a chance at a scholarship for college."

"You're.. you're going to college?" Siv says surprised

"Likely" He says back, "Probably something local"

"Oh" She shovels food back and forth on the plate thoughtful now

Frank takes a sip of water. "I never went, myself."

"Mr. Teaneck thinks it's important and so does my mother so," He says "There's some push there. sir. I try to respect her wishes. Moms normally know what they're talking about."

“I went.” Brekke thinks back. “It was a good experience, and got me into work I enjoyed. That was before I... woke up, though.”

Siv gives Brian a look and stage whispers 'Never let them know that they're usually right, they get unbearable"

Frank nods. "Speaks well for you that you say so, Brian."

Brian smiles at Siv then more somberly to Frank, "Thank you, Sir. Honestly I'm not sure on my major. I was thinking Botany if I can find a program in that area"

A look at Siv. “So you were hoping to be allowed to go to a party...ever?” An eyebrow arch, but some amusement.

"Ah...heh" Siv tries to dimple again "Should have used a better inside voice, I should"

“Hm.” A nod to Siv, then to Brian, “How is your mother these days?”

"Well, thank you. She and father recently went on a vacation of sorts, though of course, father had to drag her to it. Once he did, she enjoyed herself"

At the sidhe's comment, Siv shoots her mom a look.

Frank clears his throat.

A bland look back at Siv, then she looks at Frank. “She cannot conceive of me on a motorcycle, but guilts me into recreation.” Bemused.

"We could prove either or both." Frank reminds her mildly.

"Darn right i would" Siv mutters into her noodles "This protecting your loved ones goes both ways hrumh"
