They will indeed get squeezed in once the Boggans see who it is! All good restaurateurs take care to have at least a spare... for such things as holidays. They are shown a table nearer the back but assured that it is secluded but not neglected. This might be a relief to the chief in some ways

She very much appreciates not being in the center of the restaurant, yes.

that said, other locals do notice them ad smile or even greet , this being a place with mortals, they can't call out 'chief' so that helps

Frank gets her chair, and seats Siv too if there's a chance.

Siv says "Thanks, Dd" As they get led to it

"Welcome, Siv. For what?"

Brekke has learned over the years that this is definitely a day to allow Frank to be gallant, even if she's perfectly capable of pulling out her own chair.

"Just the seat. Bancroft does that too. it's nice"

"Who?"

"Bancroft, da. My boyfriend"

She looks around past the plants, looking around a moment then back to the menu.

"Hmph." He nods and checks the menu too. The waitress brigns a round of waters.

Brekke gives Siv a bit of a look, then says perhaps a bit carefully, "How are you and Bancroft?"

"Bancroft and I are closer than ever before" She says with tact, at least, compared to her usual.

Frank clears his throat. "He have duty tonight?"

"I don't believe so" She says then "I think I'll have the Canolli"

Frank gives Brekke a little frown.

"The cannoli is a dessert. Have food first." She catches Frank's look, and adds. "If you would like to send him a message, that is fine."

She lowers her face embarrased, "I'm sorry, I.. wasn't trying.. did I look at my phone too much? I have it off"

"You are thinking of him. I understand. We both do. Send him a message, Siv. But do not get lost in that screen for the entire meal."

"You're fine, Siv." Frank gives Brekke a steady look, then turns to Siv. "If your mother does not object and he is free... if you'd like to invite him to join us, you may."

Brekke nods at this suggestion, and the look she gives Frank may make him feel like he just won a medal in the Dad Olympics.

"Oh, no. I ..." A resolved look "He already asked me if he could tke me out. I told him that no, dad had something planned and that I'd be going to that and he understood and... "SHe looks at her fther like he grew another head "REALLY?"

Frank becomes absorbed in the menu again. "Yes. Really." FASCINATING PASTA!

"I..." Siv can only be SO good in the face of an opening like that... and on the phone goes and texting for a minute or three, a flurry of it and

"He.. he's on his way! he..left something at the lodge for me" She smiles "Not sure what"

Brekke tries not to blow Frank's cover, and also becomes interested in the menu as Siv communes with her phone.

"Oh dad, thank you. You're.. you're great " She says

"It is traditional to give gifts. Siv, did you have something to give him in return?"
