"Yes . Earl DeBuke. nice to meet you."

He is carrying a scroll, an actual scroll.

"Hi. Were you at Clementines Chief thing? I met a lot but then forgot everybody. Hey, what's that scroll for? I'm Dagmar. Do you need to see the Chief?"

"Dagmar? Yeah, I remember now. You're the uberstrong girl Kelby was talking about, Jaymes' girl" A nod "I would like to see the Chief if she's avialble. I have a scroll to leave for her if she's not. It's kind of a message of diplomacy and honestly I'm not even sure why I got the job except I'm outranked by my cousin and by my girlfriend both of whom trust me"

Earl and she are contrasts in someways, he looks on the scrawny side for a troll. Where as Dagmar has blessing of atlas. His fingers are slender for his kith.

"Well, Chief might be on patrol.... Olgar's here, though. Or Vali. Frank might be..."

"Well, let's see who is home. Though diplomatic speaking I suppose I should go Chief first then Hearth then Mountain, then ..someone else? I'm not sure how the ranking works so to speak around here. I've been here a few times but not as much as some DeBukes. Mostly I deal with them as an artist"

"You're an artist? Like comics?" SHe leads him towards the lodge.

A grin "More like oil paintings but I have sketched all sorts of things. One time at a party I did do drawings of kids as they're favorite supeheroes. Not my best work but they liked it" They move on he notices the car cleared out of snow. And then the dogs bark a hello and he smiles "Good to see they've grown so big."

Then he raises a brow at Brown Dog "But he's new to me" Browndog tries to look dignified and on guard, but then just wags submissively and wanting love.

"That's Oak, and Edie, and Brown Dog. Brown Dog is a rescue." Ear-rumples.

"He's friendly" Earl says "And yes, I remember Oak and Edelweiss when they were puppies at the farm. " He pats them too "It's been awhile so it's neat to see them again. Are you the Rivervale Beast Keeper? Or have some other task job I should adress you by? I know you're going to be sained in spring, but that doesnt' mean you might not have an official job"

"Oh... no, I don't have any titles. Just Dagmar. Is Beast Keeper a thing? I like animals. But I'm pretty sure I'm going to be a thane. Or a rover. I'm a good fighter."

"Every hold or lodge has it's own quirks. I know one where they have a master of beasts who handles both an aerie, with falcons and hawks, and a kennel with hounds of all sorts. I know there's a Kennel Master in another and another place there's a Stable Lord for horses. It might seem snotty, but when you become really good at anything an in demand enough you might get that extra nod of respect."

"That's cool. I know all the animals here. And Miss Evergreen showed me all the ones at the farm, too. Damn, I think the Chief AND Hearth are out..."

"I see. Well," As they go inside the lodge, "I should time things better. I know they're both busy. And Idon't ssee Sir Vali or the Rover."

"VALI!" She bellows. "OLGAR!" A refined notification system, that one...

"What's the scroll about, can you tell?"

"I can't give you the details, wish I could, but I can tell you it's as official as we DeBukes get We're alerting an ally of potential trouble and inviting them along. " He says and holds up the scroll "This is made of goblin parchment, if you aren't one of the people who are allowed to read it, pre set, it burns up once ou try to like flashpaper. You know, like mortal magic acts use. Only chimerical. Honestly I'm not sure if it's set for anyone besides your storm, hearth and Mountain so I would just leave it here if no one shows that I can talk to. "

"Well, talk about the situation that is. sorry" Apologetic.

Siiiigh. "Alright. Well, I mean, I could deliver it. Or if you don't trust me, you can chill out until one of them is here."

"I think I'd trust you, you couldn't read it, but you could certainly carry it or deliver it. Heck, I think it's a great idea, ,but they gave the job to me and I don't want grief from my kin folk about pushing it on someone else." A thought "What I ccan do to pass the time, if you want, is draw you a superheroine. You tell me what she should be like and I'll try to draw her to your taste."

He puts the scroll down, and reaches into a backpack, pulling out some material

"Do you need a drink? There's coffee and I could make cocoa and there's Dr. Pepper..." the last, obviously, being the nectar of the gods.

A grin "Thanks. You know, Dr. Pepper sounds fine. "

"I'll be right back!" She thunders off for the kitchen.

"And is that a yes or a no on the drawing idea?" He calls after

"YES! THOR!"

"Thor?" A surprised look.

And he starts on doodling

She returns with two Dr. Peppers. "Yeah. God of Thunder."

"He's obviously the best superhero."

"I don't know, I kind of like Raven of the titans" A slight smile "But sure.. more the comic book version, the movie version, or the old myth redheaded beard guy?"

"Well, Torrin and Tove have been teaching me the myths, and there... okay, don't tell anyone.. but some of the other gods are kinda cooler than Thor."

"But the movie is probably my favorite version. I saw that before I read any comics."

"Okay..." A smile, ,"How about this... " He says as Thor begins to form, "What other gods do you think are cooler? And what actor or actress woul you like to see play them? And I'll put them in MCU style movie costumes"

"Well, let's see... there's Freya... she has this cat chariot..."

"Uh huh.. I heard that legend. Who should play her?"

"Mmm... Tove, I think."

"Frigg would be Brekke, I think. And Olgar would be Heimdall..."

"Oh, so not actors, folks you know..." He changes patterns.. "You know, I can see those. "

"I think Frank might be Tyr..."

"Symon is Loki, but, like, not in a bad way. But he's also a sluagh and not a troll."

"Tell me what Symon looks like while I work on Frigg"

"He's skinny, and his hair falls in his eyes. He's korean, and super pale, so sorta goth? But he gets this grin when he has an idea, and you can tell it's a real good one cause it's kinda pulled up to one side..."

"oh so he knows something you don't know and that makes him very happy sometimes. I know the look" a smile

"Right, exactly!"

"Are all sluagh like that?"

"Vali or Torrin might be Braggi... I think Torrin, Braggi feels older."

"This is hard, actually."
