Siv comes in from patrol, looking very very tired.

"Hiiiiiiiiii Siv." Dagmar is at the table, with math.

"Hey, Dagmar" She says taking a deep breath.

"Sup? Doing homework. Because I am the Queen of Responsibility!"

"You'ree in a good mood" Siv smiles a bit, "Just very very tired. Patroling is one thing. But Miss Migilicutty had branches fall down and wanted me to put them to the side and then 'store them' just so. And the Dunnings were arguing and wanted mY opinion"

"She's such a bitch for all the help she demands."

"She's just that way I guess. Rise above and all...at least I try to, but yes, she's a bitch sometimes. Now, don't let me ruin your good mood. For someone doing homework you sounded pumped" Thumbsup

"Well, I'm trying this thing Symon showed me, and it's working..."

"Yeah? Smart cookie, Symon." A nod

"He is. Super smart."

"We're lucky to have him, been practicing the song?"

"A little. Tove tried to help."

"Well, I can't top Tove " A smile " I think they'll love it"

Sylvi appears at the top of the stairs, carrying an armload of books and followed by a Flopsy. "Sorry, sorry...didn't mean to be late for study stuff."

"Hey Sylvi! Figure do it now so the party can be lit."

"Be glad you werenn't on patrol, Migilicuty was in a moood"

"Tove was practicing, and just you wait, it's amazing..."

She smiles at both of them. "Yeah, I really don't want to be worrying about homework this weekend." She settles down at the table and sets out materials, still grinning.

"Yeah, look, Sylvi, I am going to need your help for Imbolc if you could?" She looks around, "You, Dagmar, Gerd, Connor and I are going to sing that song mmom likes together.."

"Oh...I..." A squirm. "I don't know if I can...."

"Why not?"

"I bet you're a great singer."

"Yeah, why not?"

She bites her lip, then flips through the pages of her notebook and shrugs. "Ohhh...just because I'm going to be one of the brands." She can't control the smile, even if she tosses off the comment in an almost off-hand manner.

"No way!" Excited grin!

"...A brand what?"

"Way!"

"A Firebrand, she gets to carry the renewel flame here.. at least for part of it. It's only the biggest honor you can get as part of Imbolc."

"I'll get to deliver balefire from the Duke, or the Count, I'm not sure which, but...it's a big deal."

"But I'll still get to be home for part of the celebrations. Well, I mean, I'll be part of the celebrations...." Excited blush.

"Then we can hold off the song till then, but this is great" A hug from Siv to Sylvi "oh wow. Normally I heari t's like mostly sidhe maids, but here you are representing the lodg and trolls and just.. " A smile "You'll do us proud"

"I hope to. I mean, yeah, going to be surrounded by noble girls, but...hey, I got asked, and that's pretty amazing. Got this nice scroll invite and everything."

"It is amazing" A nod

"That sounds pretty awesome."

"So...anyway...yeah, homework before then." Another grin and a shrug, and she tries to look interested in geometry.

"And you're just as pretty as a sidhe. But none of THEM are also troll heroines."

"Most couldn't SPELL Emissary I bet "

She laughs. "Hey, loving the ego boosts, but I'm good. And...I'm kind of used to dealing with it, since...y'know, since Nadeen."

"Nadeen hasn't been around much lately" Siv ssays

"Yeah, I noticed that. I guess she's getting some training at Caer Falken, maybe?"

"Maybe, " siv rubs at her eyes

"Yeah?"

"I'm just glad she came through okay at the dance..."

"Hey, everybody came through okay. Even the big, strong boys who ran home to mama and forgot to text to see if their dates were safe." A dismissive sound, then a glance at Siv. "You look beat."

"Oh yeah, can't believe he bailed on you" She shakes her head, then "Oh yeah... Micgillicuty wanted her branches not just moved but stacked 'proper'. Double patrol, then the marriage counseling" A sigh "I'm beat. I am actually out of energy. Something I bet my parents didn't think possible"

"Laaaaame."

Sylvi frowns a bit. "Just...tired, right? Not...?"

"My glow is fine" SHe smiles "Thanks. No need to be the fire."

"Just checking. Yeah, McGillicuddy gets really bossy sometimes. Huh...I wonder if she's really like that old lady in Mockingbird? The one who's really a drug addict, and is just looking for somebody to distract her so she can put off taking her next dose?"

"Geez what an imagination, sides, she's so mean the needles are too scared" Siv flumps on a sofa
