"Good. You'd be a very macho Loser, isntead of a sissy loser" Olgar says "But wouldn't you rather be a bad ass winner?"

Her jaw flexes, eyes darkening. "...yeah."

"You're on your way then, you got the muscle, you can take the hits- Develop the eye and the aim, and you'll excell" Olgar says with a nod

"And shut up and do the fuckin' precision drills, I know, I know..."

"Oh, you can talk while you do em if you want" Olgar says "I knew one guy who sang when he fought"

"I am not singing."

"Sang?" Hastein says

"Yup. I didn't say he had a nice voice mind you" Olgar shrugs

She snorts. "Gotcha."

Hasein smirks again, "Cool."

"Cold anyway. Anyway, my better half made some hot coco, her way- waiting for me, and anyone else who wants some."

"ohhhhh, yeah. That sounds good. Hastien, you have Kerri's hot cocoa yet? It's fancy as all hell."

"Well, I guess. Not really a fan of coco, I mean, it's ok" Clearly he has not had KERRI'S Coco

"This ain't swiss miss. It's fancy troll hearth cocoa." After putting her practice weapon away, she reclaims REAL Flyswatter and her backpack.

He nods, grabs his weapon and follows "Fine fine..we'll see what the big deal is"

Olgar chuckles ans is already in

"So - you on your own? I mean, like, independent?"

"Yeah," Hastein shrugs "Lot of rovers travel alone. Making names for ourselves and such. I'm not a part of a lodge or anything"

"Oh, yeah - makes sense, I guess. You do a lot of mortal stuff, too, or mostly troll things?"

"Odd jobs as a mortal. I travel so I see what temp jobs are in the area. Made some decent money at a warehouse once"

the cups of coco await them, fresh and hot

"Yeah? Hard to make friends that way, though." She takes a cup. "Thanks."

"I do okay. I don't need folks dragging me down" A sip, then suprised look, and a deeper drink, then a look to Olgar "Your wife's?"

"Yup" Olgar looks smug. "She's hot AND she does this"

"Clearly the theory of Karma is bullshit" Hastein grumbles and goes back to drinking.

Dagmar laughs.

Olgar, somehow, looks smugger

"So, you wanting to be a rover or a thane or what?" Hastein asks Dagmar "Not that you don't have plenty of time"

"I think one or the other. I wanted to be a Rover, at first, but I like the idea of being a Thane here."

"Like, really being a part of here."

"Not the life for me" Hastein says "I got a legend to make. "

She shrugs. "I ain't gonna be a legend."

"You never know, and it's not just rovers that get known. Take the Chieftain, she gets all squirmy about it, but she's probably the biggest legend in the county" Olgar says

"I'd rather just belong. I dunno, guess that isn't cool."

"Not my kind of cool," Hastein shrugs, but then says "But maybe it's your kind of cool. Life's too short to be giving up what you want just because someone else might not think it's awesome"

A shrug and she chews on one of her nails. "Never really belonged anywhere. So. Kinda wanna see how it feels."

Olgar says "Jaymes ll be happy to hear that."

"Maybe. I mean.... maybe?" Uncertain, but hopeful.

"Oh, your dad and the Chief might have something to tell you about a trip" Olgar says

Hastein raises a brow but just sips quietly

"Jaymes is my dad." By way of explanation. The last word is said with an odd tension, still testing the title out - as if it might be challenged, or is a kind of secret.

"Cool" he says

"You two get along?"

She nods. "Yeah. Jaymes is a'ight."

"There was this whole... thing... with a bug guy, and Jaymes took me in so the mortals I was staying with wouldn't get too mucked up? Like, you can't properly fight when they're watching."

"You know how trolls are, so - y'know, duty. But, like... " She shrugs. "It's been nice."

"So you're adopted," Hastein says "or going to be. You were in the system?"

He does not look judgmental, rather knowing

Dimming. "Not yet. When I'm sained. But yeah. About ten years."

"You're tougher than I thought" He says
