Siv comes into the lodge friday night wiping her brow , her glamour though is strong, so practice went well.

She glances behind her to see if Dagmar came with.

Brekke is sitting by the fire, carving a piece of wood.

Dagmar!

She looks up and grins as Siv arrives. "Hello. Good practice?"

"Hey, you think there's food?"

"Hi Chief!"

"Yes, and yes" She laughs answering both "Oh I am sore all over. Heck of a work out. "

"Dagmar, hello." Brekke nods a welcome, setting her carving work and knife in a box and closing it.

"Tell me what you learned today, both of you."

"Um."

"I am not ready to break Olympic level numbers of consecutive flips" First thing "That's how I got sore trying"

"A countersink is a cone-shaped hole that is cut into the PCB to allow the flat head of a socket cap screw to fit flush with the surface of the board. A counterbore is a cylindrical flat-bottomed hole that is designed to house a hex head or socket head cap screw to be used to secure a PCB board."

"Also, you can put washers in counterbores?"

"Wow" She says impressed and looks at Dagmar "I feel like my answer was too easy now"

Brekke nods seriously to Dagmar, then gives Siv a look. "I agree. How many is an 'Olympic number'?"

"We got to drill a bunch of holes today."

"Well, record for consecutive back flips is 27" She says "Also, and in the academic area, this is the anniversary of the launching of Apollo 17th, where the famous blue marble picture was taken"

A thoughtful look. "Dagmar, would you be interested in participating in a Habitat for Humanity project? I have some connections with project planners through the Y. Your skills would be a contribution."

A grin to Siv. "That is better. I prefer you learn what can be done rather than what you cannot do...yet."

"I like building stuff. And I bet they need strong people, right?" She grins. "I'd be helpful?"

Siv blushes "Yeah, might save me a sore back to learn that first"

"Oh you'd be superhelpful" Siv says to Dagmar "Habitat for Humanity sometimes makes the only houses some folks can afford."

"Oh yeah. I know a respite carer who had a bunch of special needs kids, and she got a Habitat house."

"I'm in on this too I Hope?" Siv says "I can swing a hammer, or walk on the high parts" A smile as she asks her mom, a hopeful one

"Without a doubt, Siv." Brekke nods with approval.

"Not much building work in this season, but closer to the spring."

"Mind you, I may need to go to Dagmar for some of the technical stuff" Still impressed

"I like helping people. Hey, Siv, you want food?"

"Famished. " SHe confesses, "This must be how Dirk feels."

An eyebrow. "It is likely nowhere close to what Dirk feels...but I am certain there is food." She nods the girls towards the kitchen.

"Chief, you want anything?"

"Oh, I am sure I will have something in a minute."

"Well, okay <NOT how Dirk feels, " SHe concedes "But with him grounded, I wonder if he's going to eat his way out of a room"

"Hm. I suspect he will not be grounded long."

"Dirk AND Symon..." She adds from the kitchen. Rummaging noises.

"And Symon. You think Mrs . Lee is too soft hearted?"

Oh, as soon as Dagmar enters the kitchen, Kerri thrusts a tray into her arms. "Good...just in time to help. Carry that out to the table, please."

The platter of roasted meat smells amazing.

Siv sniffs the air "oh my god that smells good"

Kerri calls, "Siv? I hear you out there, come help carry!"

Brekke merely grins as the girls get put to work.

"Yes'm..." She carts, despite the temptation to snack.

"Hoist be me salivating mouth" She laughs though, not really upset at helping out and she bounds in.

Dag does snipe a tiiiiiinnnyyy tidbit before heading back to the kitchen for the next load.

Siv gets the bowl of roasted root vegetables: sweet potatoes, parsnips, carrots, some roasted garlic cloves in there, too.

Next round for Dagmar is the bread and cheese.
