She SCOWLS at the paper.

Stupid paper. she's not even that big a fan of biology.

She taps at random keys, filling up pages.

Yeah. That'll get this done faster.

"Rowr" Odin declares

And then he hops up on the keyboard

"Hey. Helping!"

Odin's good at it.

But her homework is getting done fast

"Ahem" A voice says from the hallway. Shoot, she should have closed the door. He would have had to have knocked then.

"Hey Jaymes."

"Hey," He approaches, and looks at what's been typed "Looks like Odin isn't the best study buddy."

"Rowr" a protest from the cat. he spelled /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// flawlessly!

"He's a good study buddy. Don't judge.."

"I can tell you , your biology teacher is going to judge" He looks over the stuff, "Dagmar, you seemed to have rushed this."

She grunts. "Can I do this tomorrow?"

Jaymes looks at her, "Still bummed about Stan?'

"Not like a I knew him." A grumpy scowl. "He was old."

"Yup.95 years old. Pretty good run."

"But he helped make a lot of the super heroes you like. So.. his dreams were important to you. I figured tht's why you've been extra down. Is it something else?"

"There was Spiderman at school today."

"But he fell apart."

"Ouch. Poor Spidey. Sometimes if you feed a fragile chimera glamoour, it lasts a bit longer. Maybe long enough to get into the lodge if it's okay with the chief"

"Yeah? I should try that. The school gets cold sometimes, y'know?"

A nod "Now, back to your question. Let me see when this is due." He starts to check online "If it's due tomorrow then I guess it ccn't wait"

She glowers. "It's stupid."

"Stupid or not, it needs doing. And anything worth doing is worth doing right."

"Why do I have to write a paper? It's not English!"

"you think you only write papers for English class? you know social studies and others do it too. Why not biology?" He is done searching then, "Says here its due friday. Tell you what, maybe tomorrow you get a study buddy BESIDES Odin and I'll let you delay it as long as it gets in before then. Unless you want to do it on your own. that's fine too."

"Odin's a good buddy."

"Meow" Odin rewards Dagmar by stroking her arm with his body

"I think he's too radical for modern academia" Straight face

A snort of laughter. "Maybe."

"Okay, so you want to do this tomorrow night?"

"Please?"

He considers then, "Ok."

"Thanks." She slams the laptop shut with a huff. "Papers are the worst."

"You say thanks now, you may wish you had it done early when tomorrow night comes" He observes. "oh, I got something I want you to try on"

"...Try on?"

"Yeah, wait a sec." He says "if you don't like it, I can return it"

And he heads down stairs to fetch whatever it is

She follows out partway, peering down the stairs.

From a closet below he pulls out... a winter jacket "It's gonna get even colder and I don't want you freezing your tail off"

She stares. "Is that new?"

And she thunders downstairs to try it on. And it's BLUE!

"See, you like hoodies, and this kind of has that..."
