"And extra dross" She says nodding "Anything else?"

"Only the usual." A significant mother-daughter glance.

A nod "Yes, mum"

Frank is trying very hard not to glower without a target, or indeed, at all.

Brekke squeezes Frank's hand...which is threatening to leave permanent dents in her shoulder at this rate.

"Well, oh, another thing while you're here?"

Frank seems to realize it, and makes his hand relax.

"Mm?" She mentally braces herself.

(It takes effort.)

"I know the answer will be whatever I want, but I've got options to more than one extra curicular activity. I Was thinking Gymanstics, but I'm also tempted by Dance Club. My body type, tall and not petitte works against me in the first but then being taller than most boys might work agaisnt me in dance too. So... would you folks prefer I do one over the other? I'm torn and I got a list of costs and such..."

"Hm." Brekke's a bit surprised by this angle of conversation. "Costs, we will figure out." She ponders a few moments. "I see more practical use for gymnastics, to be honest, in combat for example."

Frank nods agreement. "I can do extra runs. Costs aren't an issue."

"I suppose just because I might not the be the BEST at it, doesn't mean I won't enjoy it" SHe says "Thanks. I know it's silly but I was getting this close to a coin toss." A worried look to her dad "Don't do too many extra runs. We don't always see enough of you as it is." A pout?

A puzzled look, but he nods.

A grin at Siv's request to her father.

She notes his puzzled look, then she looks to her mother "He does realize we miss him when he's gone right? "

Indeed a disturbing thought hits Siv.

"He should." Brekke looks up at Frank.

"Have to work...." He says in self-defense.

"Yes." She nods agreement with him.

"of course, doesn't mean we don't miss you."

He thinks about it. "Could come with me. If there's no school."

She stops and looks surprised "Me or mum?"

"Either. Both."

A wry grin. "I do not believe I am in school."

Then a nod. "I think you two should take a trip together."

"No video games."

"not even candy crush?" SHock, then a smile, "I'd love to. " Then "But you two also need a week together now and then, out of the hold. You can do it now, we're getting better and at least a weekend for you two to vacation or travel would.." A thought sinks in, "Oh crap. I think I know what I maybe doing Samhain."

Frank doesn't seem to be able to shake that frown for long.

"Don't worry da, the entire point might be to help someone AVOID boys" A scowl. SHe's not looking pleased herself "I...it's Dagmar, gonna be her first samhain"

"After Samhain, for a trip." Brekke concedes that much, at least.

Then a frown about Dagmar.

"Dagmar... should stay with Jaymes."

"He'll protect her."

"Yes, but would she? Wilders."

"I could talk to her. Explain."

A dubious look to Frank, and then she turns to Siv. "What do you have in mind?"

"Mum, dad, Dagmar might kill me if I told, but..." A deep breath, "I made no oath to not tell, though I did say I would not tell Uncle Jaymes. This is weaseling, but at the same time I..." A look to them, "You may need to ground me but I'm not sure if the wound is healing or not. And she is wounded. Dagmar, at one of her fosters? She was molested."

Brekke looks startled...then grim. "I think I suspected that...but I was not expecting to hear it just now. She told you?"

"It's a mess, " Siv says "And I feel bad for not..oh hell I never plan for anything well. Sylvi would have better memory for it than I, but at one of the fosters keeping her , the 'real kid' of them molested her... but, when Samantha told, none believed her. In fact, they had her labeled a trouble maker and other things and... they got rid of her. That's why she hates her mortal half, though I Hope it's getting better. because Sam was weak, and she.. mom da, she thinks Sam brought it on herself, a part of her blames herself. I meant to tell you with Sylvi at my side, but.. well, here we are. "

"What has that to do with Samhain?"

Brekke's expression has darkened, anticipating Siv's reply.

"Well, i'm supposed to protect my cousin am I not? If we go out wandering at all, she'll need me in case someone feeling the mists will cover their malice tries something with her. Don't worry, no salt tears. They might need a heather balm after though"

A pause...and a nod. "That would be wise. And she might well accept your company more than that of a grump who wishes to 'protect' her."

"That's what I'm thinking" She says a firm nod, "She and I are of a crew, and you don't let booty calls no matter how lusty the lad keep ye from looking after your crew" resolute then she remembers who she's talking to "I really do have the worst choice of metaphors and terms with you two. I'm sorry"

The mention of 'booty calls' definitely gets an eyebrow...but then she clears her throat and nods. "Duty to kith and kin is admirable."

"Well, even if I believe passion to be before duty that night, don't mean duty can be ignored. " She stands "Mum, dad, thank you both. I need to ...well, get a costume, make sure Dagmar is okay with me tagging along, and perhaps call Lump"

"Lump?"

"Siv...you cannot call him Lump."

Frank may have checked out briefly somewhere around 'booty call.'
