A curious look at Dagmar.

"May. You met May. She's the tall one? Skinny, with the ponytail?"

"She wants to try D&D, too, so I am gonna see if Symon wants to run a game. I'm not so good at the math part."

"And, I mean, he knows all the stuff already."

"Symon will help you, he's a good sort, for all his creepiness"

"Yeah...I met her. And...that's cool, that she comes over to your place to practice."

Whatever that look was about, she changes her focus and goes back to stretching.

"Jaymes put up a hoop. Him and Vali."

"...you could come over, too, if you wanted."

"I might if you don't mind?" Siv says

"Sure." A glance at Sylvi.

"Cool," she agrees. "Hey, we did the sleepover/story-telling/Bug-Guy-killing thing here...maybe we could do something at your house, but with less actual killing."

A glimmer of brightened mood. "Yeah, maybe? There's a fireplace, since it's getting late for camping..."

"Less actual killing, more movies and chill?" Wry

"Yeah," Sylvi laughs at Siv's comment, then says, "Oh! Hey, when the holidays are coming, we can go to your place to hide what we're working on from the folks here, and you can come here to hide stuff from Jaymes and Tove. There is NOWHERE in this whole Lodge that's private enough for holiday gifts to stay secret." Apparently, this is an old complaint.

"Oh, there's places to hide stuff in the barn - lots!"

"Excellent."

"it does get crowded in the lodge. Gerd and Connor get into everything"

"Well, kids."

A pause. "Do I have o get gifts for everyone?"

Siv says "I don't think anyone would be offended if you didn't, cept maybe the liittle ones. Of course, if you want to get me a gift and are stumped you can agree to do one of my chores at the lodge" A grin

"Oh, the grown ups mostly insist that we have to make our gifts. Or chore gifts, yeah. Coupons for favors are good, too."

"Yeah... it'd get expensive..."

"I sure couldn't afford to buy gifts for everybody!"

"Maybe Tove could teach you to carve something simple, and you could make a lot of them?"

"Yeah, you're taking shop too"

"I made a birdhouse! It's blue, because that's Jaymes's favorite color."

"And sometimes gifts are, like, performances. Singing a song for somebody, in front of the whole Lodge." A nostalgic smile. "That's always nice. Sometimes it seems like it'd be kind of cheesy, but...it's nice."

"I learned a song to help me remember... now mum uhm.. heh, she made me show it to everyone." A blush "She still likes hearing me sing it. Moms." Roll of her eyes

"Oh, I don't sing... Tove, she's a good singer, and Torrin..."

"Torrin's got a deep voice that..wow. I can see how he won Tove's mom"

"Jaymes sings sometimes. Not when he thinks anyone is listening."

A pause. "Usually after Tove's been by."

Sylvi smiles broadly at that, and intones, "Jaymes is in luuuuuuuuvvvv."

A smile at mention of Tove and Jaymes "Aye, she's got him hooked nice and proper. Good on her I say. He's a good man, needs a woman to keep him oout of trouble, and maybe get him to SMILE"

"He smiles lots?"

"I've seen it, sometimes...but he only smiles when you or Tove are around. Otherwise, he's Mr. Frowny Face."

"...huh."

"Well, not always frowny, but it's like you could light a match on his lower lip and hed not even budge"

"It's important to be stoic. Trolls are strong."

A laugh at Siv. "That's it exactly."

"You take affter Jaymes a lot" to Dagmar

"Sure, we're strong...and we can sure get our stoic on...but I've seen you laugh and goof around, and so do we. But Jaymes, like, makes stoic his profession."

Dagmar smiles at Siv's comment, sitting up a bit straighter.

"Well, we aren't grumpy grumps yet."

"Nope, they'd be bored without us" She smiles confidentally

"Just sitting around, playing checkers."

"Predicting the weather," Sylvi nods.

"See, our causing trouble keeps them healthy, good for circulation" Sure of it

"Totally. They need us." Another little smile, even if her tone is less confident than the words.
