Sylvi has bribed Gerd and Connor with extra cookies for him to do her chore of clearing the practice ring of fallen leaves, which has left them with a nice pile of leaves to jump in, and has given her a clear space to practice cheer jumps. In track sweats, she practices her jumps and high kicks again and again.

Dagmar, meanwhile, is finishing up afternoon fledge lessons with the mountain. She emerges into the crisp autumn air.

Sylvi spots her and pauses a moment, hesitates...then nods. "Hey."

A briefly stubborn jaw-jut... but... "Hey."

Hands shoved into pockets, and she starts for the path towards the Barn.

Sylvi watches her a moment. "You heard?"

"Heard what?"

"I'm staying on B squad." She practices a split-leg jump by way of demonstration.

A wary look. "Yeah?"

"Yup. Lucita was kind of a bully about getting me back there," she smirks.

"Well. Congrats, I guess."

"Thanks." She goes to get a drink from the water bottle nearby.

Dag's eyes are narrow- cautious and distrustful. "Guess I'll see you at the game."

"Yeah. Hey, you want?" She offers her water.

"Um." Another flash of distrust, like a feral cat. "I'm okay, thanks."

Sylvi gives her a head tilt look. "What?"

"oh the sweet love of..." Siv's voice

Then she blinks and looks around. "Siv?"

She quietly looks for the older wilder, the scowl fading without quite going away.

"Sorry sorry, didn't mean to intrude... just had my own problems and was griping" From a tree branch "Sorry if I intruded."

"I'm going home. So, like, it's fine?"

"Ah, but you've a scowl on your face. Willing to talk about it?" Siv says

"Huh? I mean...yeah, Dagmar, if you want, but..." Then Siv speaks and she gestures to the tree branch. "Yeah, like that."

She puts a foot up on a rail of the training ring fence and stretches out a hamstring.

She tugs on the bottom of her hoodie and shrugs. "Ain't nothing."

"well, I'll not bend your arm over it, whatever it is, as if I could" A gentle smile, "But if you need an ear, let me know. Glad you both made it to teams though. "

"Yeah. Basketball's okay." Hands jammed into pockets. "Jaymes put up a hoop, so I can practice at home, too."

A pause. "If you wanted to come over, y'know, you could."

"thanks" She grins. "I'd like that. "

Then a look, "Could I ask you two something?"

Sylvi was focusing on the stretches (if the others weren't going to focus on her), but now that Siv asks, she perks up her ears. "Yeah, 'sup?"

"What?"

"well, I can get into Gymnastics or Dance, but apparently I'm too tall and a wee bit too busty to go far in Gymnastics. Dance, dance I might do better but dad will probably freak and he's TRYING to be good. Maybe I shouldn't do either? I'm Chieftain's daughtter, mum might need help patroling"

"Yeah...I was kind of thinking that, too, when I wasn't sure about trying out for cheerleading. I mean...how long will we be able to stay on our teams if we go off questing and stuff. Right?"

"If we weren't allowed to be on teams, why did they let us try out?"

"Yeah, I know!" Sylvi responds to Dagmar. "I mean, we're allowed, but...well, if we have another adventure like when we went after the balefire? We might be back right away, or maybe days and days or weeks."

"I guess we have to live in the now, and enjoy them while we can"

She says "But that still doesn't help me decide I'm afraid. And then there's the OTHER thing."

"Well, that's pretty much what I decided, yeah. So you can't use it to say you can't do either team. But what's the other thing?"

"Well, I can't go on adventures, so..."

"I asked mom about...something, a boy, and then ended up asking dad, because he has a right, now he's going to insist answers wait until he talks to mum...but mean while I'm in Limbo waiting for one to talk to the other wondering if I'm going to sound like a bitch if I ask them if they talked yet. "

"Oh, you will. You're part-way through." Sylvi nods confidently to Dagmar, then smiles at Siv. "Bancroft, huh? What did the Chieftain say?"

"What question?"

"the question was mostly if he could come over Samhain since dad would like me to stay home for Samhain... I.. uhm... well, I'll behaving diferent then and might choose things I've been considering anyway, see?" A bit of a blush "So I admit that to mum, and she's like "Oh" and quite nice saying I seem to have a better winterside for some things that she does.. mum really IS miserable when she feels the unseelie on her. And that she thought I was being mature but I also need to talk to da and da is like 'you might what with who?' when me being all suble didn't work and next he's making the BIG dad eyes asking me to stay home fo Samhain, and I feel bad, so try to compromise and ask maybe if I could invite Banc...the boy over and then he says 'need to talk to your mum' and here I am. Waiting. I really AM trying to be a dutiful daughter, but sometimes I wonder if i'm a very good troll. Patience is not my strong point." Sigh

Answering both in a jumble

She frowns. "Don't have a guy over if you're not in control of yourself. Don't let'm come near, that's asking for trouble - and Frank says you don't even get to remember Halloween!"

"What if he does something bad and you forget it? What if somebody else does something, but you can't remember?"

"So.. I have to trap myself in a tower like a damsel?" her turn at scowl "And I'm not HELPLESS Unseelie, and he's not a monster." A mutter 'I don't think he would be anyway"

"But I would like to remember my first..." mumble

"So if you wanna screw. screw him before the holiday."
