"See, still have me knuckles. You're getting control. And I'm toughening up"

"I've been pretty careful. It's easier, now that I'm used to it."

"Practice makes perfect" The sidhe says "What if Sylvi says no?"

Siv frowns "Doesn't feel right to do it without her"

"But we could."

"She ain't the boss."

"True, but..." Siv sighs. "Well, she's clever. And... We'll ask. I am sure she'll be in."

"Maybe Symon? He's a sluagh."

"Symon..true. Doesn't have to be all trolls" Siv says

Then she looks at Bancroft

"I bet a sluagh would be best at finding a sluagh."

"That' has merit" Bancroft says. Seeming not to notice the gaze

"We'd have to be sure to keep him safe once the fighting starts, though."

"Or tell him to run" Siv says

"True..."

"Or warn the lodge to get back up?" Bancroft says

"Like, so they know we're coming?"

"Not what I meant" Bancroft says "I mean, send Symon for back up once you find and start fighting Bug Man"

"Oh... sure, I guess."

"That might work. I hate to call for help for pride"

"It's not pride. He hurt Tove pretty bad..."

"I don't know why nobody has tried hunting for him yet. Like... after Tove, especially, right?"

"Actually, Jaymes has" a nod from Bancroft

"He has? Oh - that must be how he got..." A stubborn frown. "I bet... we gotta find him, stop him. Maybe if he thinks I'm alone, it'd draw him out?"

"That's... a good bait but it's an awful risk" Siv looks worried, "Still...yeah"

She shrugs. "If we do this, then he'd leave Tove and Jaymes and everybody else alone."

"Yes." Siv says with a nod

"One would hope yes" Bancroft says "That's the point of defeating a foe"

"So - when do we wanna?"

Siv ponders "For now, we have to wait. Find the best time. But before Samhain to be sure"

"Wait?"

"Sounds sensible. ":

"Why wait? Get Sylvi, and Symon, and just do it."

"Well, at least wait until we talk to Syvli is what I mean..." Siv says "Samhain was at the latest. Soonest would be this week." Siv says

"Okay. And we might have to convince her - sometimes she worries an awful lot about rules."

"SHe's really good at working around them when she wants too though" Siv says admiring, a bit envious "Must be nice not to have a mother who can read the truth magically"

"True... hey, you think - when I finally get sained, when I get the Oath... you think I'd get to call her Aunt? I've never had an aunt before. Or Uncle."

SIv hugs her "Silly goof. She is your aunt. Jaymes is her brother in law ..sort of. I call him Uncle Jaymes so it's only fair. I give you permission." A thought "But not at formal court or certain rituals. She might need the titles for some strange reason"

"She's not... the oath will make it better."

"Well, far as I'm concerned your my family -now- cuz. But as ye insist" She turns "I think I hear vali coming in... everyone look busy"

When she's not on patrol, Sylvi's been taking to either helping her mother out or keeping watch from the roof. Study group has been attempted half-heartedly, but nobody can really concentrate on it well. So she's out on the roof again. Flopsy says he prefers to stay on a surface that isn't so up.

Odin, however, LIKES up. "MROW," he declares at Sylvi.

She looks over at the cat. "Hey, old One-Eye."

Tell-tale footsteps are heard soon after. "Cat, where did you go?"

"He's out here, with me," she calls in.

The meezer rams his head against Sylvi's side and makes a vocal demand for attention.

"Oh, shi-oot, yeah, I hear him."
