She shrugs. "I don't think so. It means it's more likely you'll stand by us when times get tough, too. I was thinking about that on patrol last night. We weren't just out there protecting what's ours and making sure people saw us....we were helping them, even with little stuff, and saying hi and stuff, and when you do stuff like that, people start thinking of you as belonging to them. So they take care of you, too, as much as they can." A pause. "At least, I hope that's how it works."
