Olgar's eye brow lifts at the mention of the keg

Kerri smiles with a bit of relief. "Please, come in, and thank you." She helps him with the backpack.

"I'm also supposed to offer my aid on patrols if so entrusted. I.." He looks around , only for a moment as if noticing someone missing. slight look of disappointment but it passes "or for that matter stationed anywhere the Chieftain requires. I can sleep at a motel. I have funds."

Dagmar quietly stares at the pretty, pretty Thane.

"We can make space," Kerri assures him. "The Chieftain has gone with a small party to Caer Falken to report to the Count."

"Wait wait.." Olgar blinks "I just got here so how did you find out... and..oh right. Baron of Teaneck is in charge of the spynetwork for the Count"

"The Baron prefers to think of himself as Intelligence Coordinator, Good Rover, but yes." Bancroft says with a nod. /Then he looks at Kerri, "Thank you, Dame Kerri. I won't be any trouble and do not hesitate to tell me when I've worn out my welcome"

Kerri nods and sets about with Sally Mae organizing and setting away the supplies that Bancroft has brought. "Please, Thane, sit and make yourself comfortable. Or...you may be going out on patrol right away..." she looks to Vali and Frank.

Jaymes looks at Dagmar staring, then looks to the Thane. A troubled look. He had hoped she was immune to, well, boys.

"Thank you, Hearth. And patrols are fine. I'm not afraid of hard work . I earn my keep wherever I am"

Vali grunts "Okay, Thane. Actually, if you'd do a short patrol around the immediate lodge, Mountain Frank and I will take the others for a wider patrol. You'll be in earshot if you need help"

Sylvi glances at Dagmar. Then she asks, "Dirk, too?"

Dirk looks surprised to be included but "Sure. Better than math"

"Okay," Vali says "Dirk..how do I say this? "

Dirk looks up "Don't eat nobody and follow everyone else's rules even if I think they're stupid?"

"yeah, that" Vali states

Another almost grin from Sylvi...she knew Dirk would get it...then she looks attentively to the older trolls.

"With your permission HEarth, we'll start those patrols"

Kerri nods. "If I need you back here, I'll send one of the dogs to find you."

Vali nods "Yes, Dame Kerri" A flicker of amusement as the Thane has made it okay to use her knightly title. Fun for him.

Olgar snort chuckles

Vali gets an eyebrow aimed at him.

Jaymes is all biz "Okay, Dagmar, remember the Chief's advice for keeping attention on a trail, and it should work the same for patrols. Ready?"

Vali pretends to find the ceiling fascinating.

Dirk, despite being a redcap, notes the nature of the eyebrow glare and makes a note to incorporate into his brow beating

"Ready!" She stands up, and puts Flyswatter at her shoulder.

Sylvi says, "Wait, let me get Flopsy." She heads up the stairs, taking them two at a time.

"Oh good grief, we want to go on patrol?" A chimera's voice "Fine, probably safer with you than around enchanted cats"

Jaymes smirks at that, "If I were that rabbit I'd be worried about Odin and Mackerel too." A Pause "Peach would probably lick him"

Dirk looks embarrassed at something.

"Or Racer, even."

"Good point"

Sylvi reappears with Flopsy tucked under one arm (safer that way until they get past the more challenging animals). "Ready."

Mackerel peeks down wistfully, enchanted and wistful. One day, little rabbit

And the patrol heads out...the THane taking a shorter circuit on his own, which allows the girls to 'think' if they're not used to sidhe fall out

Kerri watches them go, then goes back to rearranging Olgar's blankets unnecessarily. "Of course, she's probably going to decide to get heroic, and then I'll have to set up a second cot. Bunk cots, maybe."

"I think she gets her brains from your side of the family so she's probably going to be fine"

Olgar smiles at her lovingly "I'm okay, babe. really"

"You are many things, Rover, but right now you are not okay." A harrumph, and she keeps muttering, "...maybe okay in the morning, but right now, definitely not okay..."

"Love you"

"And uhm.. am I right in guessing you kind of WANT me to step down a bit more?"

She pauses and looks at him. Olgar and she express their love in many ways, but seldom in such plain speech.

A sigh and she sits down next to the cot again, taking his hand in hers. "I...don't know. I know what I want to say right now, but I don't know if I'm thinking clearly right now."

"Yeah, lots of surprise. " He raises a brow "Imagine my surprise to have a memory of my lady using Dictum"

She blinks a bit, and...blushes. "You saw that. And...remember."

"It's...kind of a dream but yeah. EIther you've been hiding an art most sidhe don't share or you tapped into a past life"

"It's....I didn't know I could do it. I don't think I could do it again, here. I mean...I'll check, I guess, but...." A pause. "But that was mine, once."

"Don't push, but it's interesting." He gives her a squeeze "There's always more to you to explore. Probably why I fell for you- you are the most amazing path I have journeyed"
