the last bell of the day had barely rung when Vali showed up to gather the troll brigade and get them home.

"Vali?" She frowns. "Thanks, but I got a ride..." Amber eyes searching for the familiar pickup, the one parked just a bit out of the way.

"Sam, there's been an incident. We'd prefer if folks holed up in the lodge, " Sylvi and Siv are taking excitedly from HIS car. Vali explains "But that'll be up to Jaymes. Keep flyswatter handy ok?"

She looks - is Jaymes there and waiting?

Jaymes pulls up just then, tires screeching, he nods to Vali and has not parked in the usual out of the way spot. Whatever is going on, it's worth him bending the rule for

She bites on her lip, looking at Vali... then, nope. Into the truck.

"Sorry about this" Jaymes says "We got a situation" he tells her as they drive

"A situation? Why do they want everybody at the lodge?"

"Easier to defend. " he says simply, and perhaps not as helpful.

"What happened? Defend from what?"

"Possible attack" He answers the second question first as the wheel their own way towards the lodge. "I'd rather answer things when we get there, but Olgar got taken. He managed to send a warning. the others are on their way to rescue him. Lut, Tig, Vali and I are looking after you guys."

"Someone took Olgar? But he's tough!"

"I know, I am surprised too. Looks like Bug guy has a friend on the trods. I didn't get all the details but he got jumped like 12 to one or something" Hard turn as the man does't slow down. "So you see why we're holing up."

"Bug guy? But why... why Olgar? Maybe he has a thing about all trolls?"

No answer for a moment then "Maybe. Anyway, we'll have a lot of warriors and two fae hounds guarding the doors of the lodge so you kids will be fine"

Eyes widen. "What about Odin and TwoBit?"

"they have food in heir bowls" he says peerhaps missing out the REASON the question was asked

"No, who is gonna make sure they're safe?"

"Dagmar, my focus is on you, you're the important one here" He tries to use the 'reasonable tone'

"But we're responsible for them."

He frowns, "that's how you see it?"

"I... yes?" Uncertain now. "They're adopted."

"Then we do this" He turns the truck, and now is heading towards the House, THEIR house. "But keep flyswatter handy"

"I have it, sure... I know where Odin hides, I'll get him."

"We're going in together" He grunts, "twobit knows her name well enough to come when called." they park and he opens the door, claymore on his back

She hops out from the cab. "She's smart."

"Yeah, she's quick. "

Dagmar heads for the door - she does grab Flyswatter, though she's carrying it in her off hand.

Jaymes keeps pace, they open the door and are attacked!

By a little dog that circles their feet happy to see them

"Hey TwoBit." Dag tromps on by, up the stairs.

Jaymes says "Be careful there in case of...."

But she's already up there. Odin is somewhere up here.

She heads for her room - Odin seems to like the top of the bookshelf, and also inside the closet...

Nope, not the book shelf. The Closet then...

When the closet door opens comess out, and spits something up

"Ew, cat, did you eat cheese?" She crouches to pick up the meezer.

It's not a mouse, it's a ..some kind of bug! one with large evil looking red eyes. It is also dead and crunched

"Ew." She stomps on it for good measure. "Good Odin."

Odin mews and mrows.

It was a chimera... looks like Odin got enchanted! He sees her as she is! He looks her over, and sniffs her again. Not going anywhere until we check this out

Sniff... rub against, consider. BIgger lap, that could be useful

A frown, brief, and she shoves the gross bug carcass in her pocket. "JAYMES?"

Scritches for good hunter kitty.

the door almost breaks open "what?" Sword ready

"Odin found a bug. It's a chimera. I think he's enchanted?"

"Oh yeah, I enchanted him earlier today, guess it didn't wear off. I.." A pause "Wait, a chimercal bug?"

"Rowrr" Odin explains. And leans into more scritches

She digs it out from her pocket and shows it.
