"Okay, talk Odin into getting into his crate. I'll get twobit, and we'll head to the lodge"

"Nobody believes you." She takes the carrier and the kitty towards the stairs.

They make their way out, Twobit bounces along Jaymes feet wagging. SHE is not afraid of going places. Cowardly cats.

From the carrier, Odin sends evvvvvil one eyed glares through the carrier trying to impale the kiss ass dog with them

"See, they're really learned to get along" Jaymes observes

"Hey, maybe I can leash train Odin, you think?"

"I think he hears you and doesn't approve" Jaymes says as the get to the truck

"Well, bet he'd like it better than a carrier."

"Point" He says "Tove and Torin are on their waay" He looks relieved "To the lodge I mean."

"So everybody? Okay..."

"Everyone who isn't on the mission" He nods and they get in the truck and gone.

When they arrive, they see a furious Siv has helped herself on top of the roof and has a telescope.

"So... the Hearth, the Storm AND the Mountain?"

"What happens if they don't come back?"

"They'll be back" Jaymes says firmly "so it's not a problem. "

Siv calls down "Uncle Jaymes? Good. Tell SIR Valii that I should be allowed to go join me mother and father!"

Jaymes grunts and looks up "no."

Siv shoots a dirty look at him

"Do we know what it is? Can we help them?"

"Something about a Lord Uvrix'thi" Siv says "Seems to be some Lackey to the dark powers"

"That's a dumb-ass name, yeah."

"Yeah, and there were like dozens of bad guys and some talk of a deal with the bug guy... Good to see you're here, Dagmar. Wish we could put yur arm and Flyswatter to work"

"Bug guy is, like, just this scrawny dude. What's he got to get lackeys?"

"Maybe partners then... " Siv says "Bug Guy can giveUrvi's thil access to the silver trods."

"Okay? So?"

"So that might be why they're partnering... And how Bug GUy hoped Urvi and his goons would take out Uncle Olgar so you'd have one less defender" Siv says "Least near as I could figure. This bug guy is a coward"

"Well, yeah - he ain't willing to do anything himself."

A pause, and a frown.

Siv says "One day, he's gonna get too close to your fly swater and you're gonna smash him, nd when you do give him a lick for me" Siv says

"He attacked Olgar cause of me? Like Tove?"

Siv blinks and then realizes what she said "Well, we don't know that. Could just be an asshole."

"I don't think Olgar... I..." Another frown, and a worried look at Jaymes.

Jaymes looks at Dagmar "Olgar is tough. He also had time to send warning. Which means they may be saving him as we speak." He looks at her, "And 'Bug Guy' wants to hurt you, yes, but this is Not your fault. Olgar faces death every day. He's a rover. they risk their lives to protect others. That doesn't mean he won't fight like a beast to save his own hide. he's a survivor."

Siv nods 'He is. "

"And he's too scared of Auntie Kerri to die without her permission" Siv says with a weak smile

"But he's hurting other people..."

Dirk has peeked up on the roof, "Yeah, that's how you do it. You gotta make folks afraid, so you try to take away their strength. He's trying to make you feel like if you got people, you're bad for em" Dirk snorts "like they'll get hurt. Like a protection racket."

"But... if they're gonna get hurt because of me, they're gonna figure out they don't want me around."
