Dagmar can feel how warm and comfy she is, like mittens in winter

He snorts at that, "Maybe yeah" A smile slips, just briefly "Knows tricks. Saw you playing fetch with her. that IS a plus "

"She's got a personality, sure."

"So, she the one you want?" He asks direct like. Sometimes Jaymes is direct. No bullshit. That's normally a trait Dagmar likes

"I... what one do you like?"

he ponders "Well, you heard me.earlier. I'm fine with anything now that the rodent is gone. so whih do you like..." and then that word "..best?"

"How can you like one best, though?"

"that's fair. I guess you can't always" he admits after thinking it over for a bit "Then you have to prioritize. I just want you to be happy with your choice"

She nods. "I guess. I mean, Shaggy Thing is funny... but Brown Dog is so sweet..."

A soft rapping at the window.

BIC: "I thought you'd go for Odin myself. Mind you, he's a complaining th.." the door knocks and he turns "Guest. possibly someone wanting one of the dogs"

A shadow at the window- then a sudden flash of light- a smartphone held up to illuminate a pale face for a moment, and a small wave.

"Nah, Sy..."

"Odin's cool though, yeah. If I could only pick one..."

Behind Symon is Dirk, looking uncomfortable

"Oh, let em in" Jaymes says "I'll get some of those moldy snacks we had ready"

Waiting for the door to be opened and then for an invite in, in case Jaymes has deployed any anti-sluagh landmines. Leaning around to peer at Dagmar, Sy whispers, “I heard you got a cat as a Ugly as Dirk... and had to compare side by side.”

"Oh fine" Jaymes opens the door

"Oh yeah. Smee-gal was under the couch...."

Dirk rolls his eyes "pretty gutsy for skulker" He stomps in then bends down to see under the couch "Okay. She is ugly"

A disapproving mroooooowwwwwwwwl And Lovecraft is up into the rafters. No rafters? Well, hopefully the bookcases and/or curtain rods are sturdy. The mortal dogs might not see chimera, but sometimes they can be oddly perceptive, and LC makes her opinion known.

"Help yourselves in boys," Jaymes says drily. The cap was doing it anyway "I'll get snacks suitable for both of you" Jaymes eyes them "Try not to make a mess" And in he goes to the kitchen

"Hi Lovecraft."

He snickers. “Hey, if they had any toads, I’d go head to head for the title. But I don’t got enough ear hair to compare with these mutts.”

"Odin and Brown Dog are at the Lodge tonight."

“Did the cat get his eye bit out by a raven? That’d be pretty metal.”

"I dunno. He only has the one, though."

He eyes her armful with a little bit of a raised brow. “New dust mop?”

"Right? She doesn't seem to realize she's a fake dog."

“At least it’s a good size, right? I mean, the guard dogs around here are cool, and all, but I half expect pint size to ride them to war.”

"Edible even" The cap looks at Shaggy

Then the Cap blinks as the ugly bald cat comes out and rubs up against him while he's still half way on the floor "This animal has no survival instinct" he declares

A rasp of a laugh! “Dude, -I’M- the Korean here. Don’t go stealing my thunder.”

"Sme-gal is kinda broken. She likes everyone."
