The animals are unloaded when the trolls that handled the flood get back. Ironically, near the area of the yard close to the Kestrel. There's a fence type Pen area for the dogs been set up, nothing like troll strength. And the dogs are let out first.

Shaggy little thing charges out, where as Brown dog ease out with a sense of wonder at this. Old Racing Dog is used to kennels, and comes out in his own sweet time. The puppy trips as she avoids the others but still wants to rush out

Vali helps, "Oh the puppy is just cute as...well, let's call her CAF for short."

Jaymes says "Mmm. Better get word out these need homes. Vali, you're social. You do that annoying 'talk thing'? Maybe you should go around and let them know."

Vali blinks and rolls eyes, "Yes, vali do the talk thing. Talk much good." GRUNT, then "yeah, sure...but I think as soon as the study group notices them we're going to have plenty of word spread around"

Jaymes grunts and nods.

Then Jaymes notices "I'm going to have to put some of these near my home aren't I?"

"Yup," Vali smiles. "Good luck."

Jaymes mutters something about hoping he doesn't get stuck with the bean shitter.

By now, Dagmar has gotten a good look at every pet. After all, she's helping take care of them.

At the moment, Old Man has been snuck inside to Couch and has his head on Dagmar's lap. The better for pettin', after all.

"He's a quiet one at least," Jaymes notes.

"He's been through a lot. Somebody hurt him."

"That scar? Possibly another dog..." he muses, "They muzzle them during the racces because the dogs get excited and sometimes the target fake rabbit vanishes..." A thought "We need to keep him away from Flopsy"

"Well, maybe 'need' is a strong word..."

"Guy deserves somewhere nice and warm, though."

"He does," A nod "Torin maybe" Giving the name of Tove's dad.

"Oh! Maybe, yeah!"

"I think the Cyclops might belong to Odin. Or might BE Odin in disguise."

"He's pretty rascally."

"Huh..." A pause "Odin in the stories was a shapeshifter. Him and Loki."

"Well, see?"

"Grumpy old dad-god cat."

Speaking of Odin, the cat is walking up the steps, and shoots the dog a distrustful look.

"Be nice!"

The one eye Siamese turns his attention to Dagmar, Cyclops seems to be saying "but ..it's a DOG. ick."

"mrow roow roo" The cat explains

"Well, he's old and tired. He won't bug you."

Old Race Dog lets his tail swish , particularly if he's still being petted

More vocal complaints from the cat as he moves up the stairs. Yes, that cat has an opinion on everything

"He's a chatty Cathy" Jaymes observes

"Hmph. Somebody gotta be."

"You like the fussy fellow, huh?"

"He's okay."

"He gets along with Mack."

"Yeah, I suppose so. She's fussy, he's opinionated. Together they fight crime." A pause "Sorry, too much time around Vali"

"Just a bit. Vali should take one, for sure."

"Oh, I thought the plan was we hand them out to others we don't normally see" He says "I mean, the lodge has two dogs. "

"Right, and he's in the lodge... sorry."

She bites on her lower lip, a question written on her face but... unsaid.

"Mmmm?" he notices her look

"Huh?" Pet. For all her size, she treats the greyhound a bit like spun glass - careful and attentive.

"Sorry, looked like you had an idea or a question or something." He says

She bristles, shoulders tense, and shakes her head.

Racer sensing her discomfort lifts an old cold nose to her ear

That startles a smile. "Hey!"

Jaymes chuckles "He's a sweet old guy. " A thought "And sorry. I'm a bit distracted by my OWN ideas, but I don't want to... you know, pressure you with my ideas"
