"So...Colton, you've be traveling?" Kerri asks politely.

She takes a seat directly across from the young man.

"Yes Hearth Kerri, I have" he says "Squire Honoria, Lady Knight now, went into the Dreaming to help restore a broken treasure for Baroness Coradel. It took longer than we thought, but still, we did it. " he says unable to hide pride "It's amazing stuff. A lot of the memory is gone, but there was so much with enemies and the sea of ages..."

Beneath the table, Sylvi squeezes his hand, and she smiles at him with pride as well. "It sounds fantastic."

Kerri looks impressed. "It sounds as though it was quite the challenge." She sips her tea, then gives Sylvi a quick glance and a wink.

"It was..." A soft squeezee back "I met an old enemy...a personal one. This time I won" A look to his glass arm. Very pleased is squire colton

Vali nods "Payback is very gratifying, not the goal of a quest, but a real nice perk. Good on you. Heck, Sprarrow must be proud."

"You...him?" Sylvi follows his glance to the arm. "The sidhe or the redcap?"

"The redcap" Colton says

Kerri nods firmly. "Good. That needed to happen, and I'm very pleased to hear it did."

"Yes, it doesn't get my former 'master' off the hook mind" Colton says

Sylvi's smile is proud indeed.

"Good on you kid, just ...keep us in the loop on that one before you launch anything? Sir Frank wants a peace of the Leanhaun too" Vali says...but Kerri might realize it's also meant so the squire does't try anything reckless alone

Kerri nods agreement with Vali. "He's not alone," she murmurs, then clears her throat. "Sylvi did a bit of questing herself."

"I was telling him, Mom. Before you came out..." A bit of a shrug/blush and she looks to Colton. "Dika-Hannah showed me where to find the Hatchet of Bury the Hatchet. It wasn't easy...and I remember a crazy walrus...but I got it, well we got it, and brought it back."

Sylvi sips her drink as if this is business as usual.

Colton listens "A walrus? And a hatchet of bury the hatchet? And this was part of a quest that will help?" He says trying to keep track

"I think it will help Jessica, yeah," she nods. "The treasure makes it so that the warring parties have to settle down and listen to each other during negotiations, rather than just kill each other right off."

"That's awesome" he says "If they had something like that back in the Accordance War maybe.. maybe things would have gone differently?" Colton considers

"Maybe. I mean, I don't know if it could have called time-out on a whole war, but maybe little battles of it. And maybe things like...like the Night of Iron Knives wouldn't have happened." Sylvi looks to see what her mother thinks.

Kerri looks thoughtful but a bit distant. After a moment, she says, "Perhaps." And leaves it at that.

"The past is stone" Vali says as if repeating a quote

Coltonshrugs, then looks to Sylvi "Still, it's amazing. You're amazing. You must have blown the Baron's mind when he found out"

((AFK again, sorry...should be just a minute or so))

The lodge door bangs open, followed by the wilder - despite the heat, Dagmar is wearing her hoodie, and her hair is alternately sticking to her face or frizzing out with sweat.

Sylvi smiles and colors a bit. "He was definitely impressed."

She looks over at the slamming. "Hey, Dagmar!" The interior of the Lodge is blissfully cool, despite the lack of obvious air conditioners.

"It's cold!"

Kerri smiles at Vali. "That's why you added an extra glass?"

"Hey Sylvi, and everybody.:

"Come on in, Dagmar," Kerri says. "Have some iced tea." She pours and offers her a glass.

"Hi Dagmar" Vali smiles

"And of course" the knight adds

She tromps over. "Man, that's perfect... thanks Kerri.."

Colton glnces over "hi, Dagmar... I was just hearing about the hatchet of bury the hatchet"

"Like... a real hatchet?"

"My pleasure." Kerri smiles.

She takes a big gulp of tea, downing half the glass.

Sylvi nods. "It's a treasure I brought back from Alaska."

Vali sips his own drink quietly a smile on his face. Apparently his magical air conditioning has made him a hero

"Oh, Mom, are we leaving tomorrow or Thursday for Tijuana? I have to go soon."

"Oh, cool. I saw the hand..."

"The hand is creepy" Vali says with a sip "Cool but creepy"

"Yeah, kinda both." Another swig. "Oh man, this is so nice. Jaymes should get AC."

"It isn't AC. It's Vali." Sylvi grins. "He zapped us with coolness for now."

"You're welcoooome" Vali singsongs a bit ala Maui

Sylvi laughs.

"Magic? Man... magic is awesome." A happy sigh, and she half-sprawls across the table. "I sleep here."

"Only if you want to wash all the dishes today," Kerri says amiably.

It is, isn't it? But you have to respect it... magic that is" "Oh, Colton" Vali adds, "if you want to hear the full story sometime of Sylvi's quest, don't worry you will. I've got Torrin and Tove working on it. The Saga of Sylvi"
