He watches her go... a bit dopey smile leaks on his face

She's back a minute later, and gives him the thumbs up. "Let me just get a couple of things...." A smile and she races up the stairs.

And again, she's only gone briefly before coming back down stairs. He may note she has her chimeric blade, and if he's really perceptive he might realize she did a few quick makeup touches. "Okay, all set. We can take the bus if we're quick."

He opens the door "Then lead the way. You look nice for someone who was melting earlier..." And he follows her out

It's HOT out there...but a movie theater awaits. And they're off.

Later in a bedroom at Rivervale, Olgar groans and tries to explain "I was very drunk and Vali got me chatty. Want me to murder him? I will murder him if it means I can go back to sleep"

Kerri perhaps allows him to make it up to her, albeit not through murder.

Dagmar sneaks into the kitchen, in search of lemonade. Or maybe otter pops...

(RV kitchen?)

(RV) She suspected Kerri might have various frozen treats....

The kitchen's empty. The freezer indeed provides freezy pops, both the mundane variety and home-made popsicles in a tray with sticks pointing up.

On a stool, Gerd has a popsicicle and is near an open freezer... 'uh.. hi. I got this for you" She offers

"Hey Gerd... you should probably close that. We'll get in trouble."

SHe gets another one, and then closes it "right. "

She eyes the home-made treat. "You know what flavor these are? Did Kerri make them?"

The homemade ones are from pomegranate juice, but the tartness is cut somehow so the flavor comes through beautifully.

"Pom and Grainite" she explains "It's good"

"And yeah, she did"

"Cool." A cautious taste - Dagmar has a distinct 'new food face' - but then a smile. "They are good."

"I believe there are some rather loud mice in the kitchen...." Kerri emerges from a small alcove that leads back to a laundry room, manuevering a basket of clean clothes.

"Yup. Vali likes blue berry because he htinks it's good for our color but these are... eeep"

"Hey Kerri..." Dagmar sheepishly holds the popsicle behind her back.

Gerd tries the same, but her face might have ah, signs of popsicle munching

She looks at both girls. "Unless you both started wearing an identical shade of lipstick, you're both busted. But go ahead...those are there for people to enjoy."

She purples and scowls. "I don't wear lipstick..."

Sheepishly the young girl purples as well "I don't wear it either, Sylvi got MAD the time I borrowed some of hers..but..uhm thank you. You want one?"

"Not just now, thank you." Kerri smiles and sets down the basket. Towels and dishcloths and sheets, all carrying the scent of clean about them.

"It's been pretty hot huh?" Gerd states the obvious

She starts folding, glancing at the girls now and then. "I'll be glad when this weather breaks, yes. Autumn soon. Cool air and colorful leaves." She snaps a sheet and folds it efficiently.

"And schoooool. Uhg."

"Maybe it won't be bad this year. After all, high school freshman," Kerri reminds.

With Kerri's permission, she is openly eating the popsicle once again.

"Yeah - at least I won't be the new kid, right? Like, no more than any other freshman."

""you'll be with Sylvi so, it'll be good"

"Good point!" Kerri makes a fitted sheet behave itself in short order and adds it to the folded stack.

"Well, maybe. Sylvi has her own friends. Symon, though."

"His stepmom has been really cracking the whip this summer. Study, study, study..."

"Well, I shouldn't speak for Sylvi, but I think she'd include you on a list of her friends, Dagmar. So Symon's been doing school all summer? I haven't seen much of him, it's true."

"Yeah. Tiger Mom nonsense, right? I've not seen him since we got back, which sucks."

"Sylvi's talking like she's gonna try out for cheerleading." A nose wrinkle. "And.. I dunno... she's gonna.. she can be my friend here, you know?"

"No? Hmm...Perhaps you should go to his house and check on him. He knows you're back?"

"I think Mr. Olgar patrols near there sometime"

"We texted some, yeah."

Then a bit of a smile. "Well, we'll see what happens."

"She's gonna be popular, I bet."

Gerd tilts her head curiously

"She has been through most of school, yes. But every new school year is a new story. She might have a different niche this year than she expects. Gerd, wipe your chin, please."
