"It's okay, Dagmar. And if it hurts, tough it out."

That's from Kerri, a slight grin under her concerned expression.

Vali says "It won't hurt, you'll feel glamour maybe, and I'll see insights on what is, that might help me figure out what willbe"

An odd expression, then she extends her hand.

He makes a note of reading the line, but also speaks, "Nine worlds along the tree, nine lines do I see...up and down, out and around...forward, back, constant and growing. I look into the lines, norns share with me some of your knowing"

Sylvi watches, curious, craning to see Dagmar's palm, too.

She stands VERY still.

Kerri is also still, watching, waiting.

Glamour surges, then he says "thank you" and removes his hand from hers "Dagmar, normall I'd make a joke, instead let me say thank you for your trust. Sylvi? Hold still please. Your turn."

She steps back, jamming hands into pockets once more.

A blink. "You're not going to tell her what you saw?"

"Nothing bad..."

She wrinkles her nose at the perceived injustice, then offers her own hand.

A little crease between her eyebrows, and she sort-of fades back closer to the doorway.

Kerri reaches a hand slightly to Dagmar, welcoming her to stand close if she wishes.

"Everyone wants to know until they... oh fine. Dagmar if you want to know, tell me... in the mean time," Takes Sylvi's fingers, "This little piggy. went to market, this little piggy went on a quest, this little piggy fusses a lot, but this one tries her best."

And glamour flows.

Bemused by the bunk, but then a little catch of breath at the glamour, and she waits.

"Nnnnno, it's... fine, sure.." A deeper crease and a faint frown. She looks at Kerri, but keeps to her spot.

Kerri's hand drops again, and she watches her daughter with a carefully controlled expression.

"Kerri, for you, your call, hum a few bars of your favorite song while I grade you, or I can read from the cup you drink"

A frown from Sylvi as he turns from her, and she looks at her palm a moment, flexing it a few times.

A wry glance from Kerri. "My favorite song? I guess..." She considers a moment, then extends her hand, palm up. When Vali takes it, she hums the chorus of "Born to Be Wild" a couple of times.

He writes with a marker 6.6 on her palm "Graded. " as glamour goes, "Thanks." He takes a moment to sort it out

A baffled look...then a frown. "That better not have been permanent Sharpie," she mutters.

"It should wash off" He sayss "Needed it for the bunk... okay, Idon't think it's any of you."

"Then...who?" Kerri asks. "The Chieftain? Frank?"

"I don't know, honestly I was sure I was onto something with the Hearth Angle..." A scowl, then "Oh, anyone who wants to know what the omen revealed for hthem ask now or forever hold. I'm a Beaumayn, trained in part by the Eiluned. Feels like blasphemy sharing this stuff but when in the Lodge Yadda"

She looks over at Sylvi.

"I want to know." Sylvi stands up tall, shoulders back, bracing for something dire. Then a hesitation... "I think."

Kerri is quiet a long moment...then shakes her head. "Not for me. I'm tempted, but...no. And...Sylvi, I don't think it's a good idea." Concern.

Dagmar's uncertainty solidifies into a deep frown, and she looks down at her feet.

"Mom...I...." Another hesitation, then Sylvi looks to Vali. "Um...tell me as much as you think it would help me to know...?"

Kerri shakes her head. "I don't want to hear it. I shouldn't hear it. So please discuss elsewhere." She turns and goes back to putting things away. "Vali, if I can help you sort out what you think you've seen, let me know." This seems to be a polite dismissal from the kitchen for one and all. "Dagmar, please take that platter of muffins out to the main room as you go?"

"Sure, I'll talk to Sylvi... away from you, then head out to track down Moutain and storm. Thanks again, Kerri."

He lowers his voice, and says to the Hearth something meant for her ears

"Yes'm." She grabs the platter, keeping her head down.

Sylvi's already following Dagmar, and glances back to check that her mom's okay before leaving the kitchen entirely.

Kerri nods slightly to Vali, a little smile despite some tension in her shoulders. "Thank you."

A nod and out he goes with Sylvi and Dagmar

"Want to hear it together?" Sylvi asks Dagmar.

"Why is it so bad to want to know?" She huffs in frustration, then tenses up when she realizes - wait, Vali followed...

"There's lots of stories of people who saw what was coming, and tried to change it, and that just made things worse." Sylvi's voice is low.

"Dagmar, what if you knew the day somoene was going to die... but more than that, you saw that if they didn't die on that day, isntead they'd have decades where each day was full of pain. Would you tell them?"

"Did you see me die?"

Sylvi winces at the no-win scenario.

"No." He says "The vision I had was not about you dying, and your omen did not indicate an anvil falling on your head..though omens are more about what is. My visions more about what will be. It's.mixing them that I hope will give me greater insight. I ask the question because if you think about it, it might explain that Sylvi is right. Foreknowledge is a powerful thing, often good to have but foreknowledge gained by glamour and gifts? It comes at a price. I try to pay that price so others don't have to."

"So, wait - you saw secrets about me?"

"You saw what is," Sylvi clarifies, then nods. "Then I definitely want to know, if you can tell me."

"Don't worry, Dagmar, mostly I had confirmation of what I already suspected. Nothing for you to be ashamed of"
