"Why didn't she run away? Or play dead?" Head tilted to one side, ears flopping that direction.

"Sometimes you can't run, you just get frozen in a spot." A soft aside to the pooka.

"Yes." Brekke nods. "I can sense it with you." A smile. A full smile. Siv's seen that before, but the others probably haven't. "Well done, Siv. You waited until you saw the girl was safe?"

He murmurs back to Dagmar, eyes still on the conversation. "But then they pull your ears."

Siv beams at her mom "Oh I did, I thought she might be a dreamer but I don't think so I just felt... I don't know, it's not quite like the bale but it's good, and pure and felt fufilling."

"Yeah, sometimes."

"Any way mom, my nose is fine or will be with just a night at the lodge. I have her name.... because I know dad helps mortals but might not want me doing it... and contact info. She got picked up by her own grand father, sweet old man."

"You helped one in need. That is our strength in this world, Siv, or part of it."

"Huh, guess I'm not a blue eshu after all" Wryly

"Good. And I look forward to seeing your father's face when he hears the tale from you later."

"Bless you." He pipes up to Siv, from where he has crouched, tugging his hood up over his ears at this talk of pulling.

"He's going to worry, even after the fact. How da bend time and space like that I don't know. How can I tell hi mso he doesn't feel distressed?"

"I ain't gonna pull your ears."

"Here, let me take that." She holds a hand out for the bloody cloth. "You do not think you need Heather Balm?"

A single wag of his tail. "'Course not, you're too blue."

"Tell him the story in order, as it happened. He will see how the situation developed, and how you were right to resolve it as you did."

"Well, if you think it would make Da feel better?" At the mention of the heather balm "I'm trying not to be vain here. "

"Dagmar would never pull your ears, Connor, she's a true follower o Thor she is in her way. Thor might pull Fenris' ears but that's another matter"

A grin and a nod. "I will allow you to keep this war wound, for tonight at any rate." She returns to the kitchen to put the cloth in the laundry.

He perks up at the unknown names and peers at Siv. "What's a Fenris? Is that a story?"

Siv seems to be glowing, not from just the glamour, but her mother's approval. She glances around the lodge with a sense of belonging

A few moments later, and she comes out. "I am about to patrol...I will go past the bus stop and pause to commemorate your battle."

A faint snerk, amused.

A pause before she goes. "Well done, my daughter." A nod...and then she's off on patrol.

"Thank you, mother" //Once her mom is gone she grins wider still, "Did ye see that? She.. she didn't fuss or anything"

"That's great!"

"I thought she'd be, you know, mad that I got in danger or messed with mortals..." A grin at Connor "Hold on a sec. I think I'll celebrate"

Rising, she leaves the kitchen door open and sorts through things

He seems to have forgotten the story already, and just watches her as she heads into the kitchen. A soft comment. "Chieftain-boss is a good mom."

"Score!" can be heard

"I... guess, yeah. Brekke is cool. She's tough, though."

"That means that she won't break." A solemn nod.

She nods. "Yeah. This place... dunno, guess they're... you know?"

He whispers over to Dagmar, "Iffin they haven't kicked me out yet, you're sure safer too."

Siv comes out "Peanut Butter Brittle anyone? " She's got a jar

A little frown and she chews on her ragged thumbnail. "Well, maybe. You don't know me that well."

"Ooo, candy.."

"Peanut?" He perks up, tail wagging hard enough to thump against the floor (and Dagmar's leg, if close enough. "Enough for one-two-three?"

"enough for three of us to be sure" She says allowing each person to pull out a chunk of it..sizes vary

Dagmar carefully picks a mid-sized chunk.

He hesitates, then takes a small piece, and gives it a sniff and a lick. "Your peanut butter is gone all hard. Did you leave the jar open?"

"You crunch it, like this" She pulls out one for herself , medium too, and bites to show

"Did Kerri make it?" A test nibble.

"I'm -extra- -special- goob ad crunging." He responds, already to work on his piece before he finishes the sentence.

"She did" Siv says "I love peanut butter brittle. Honestly, if I had to choose between a world without the Sea, Peanut Brittle, or Boys... the boys would probably lose out"

"But I want to live in the world with peanut briddle too." He bemoans. "Can dogs live there?"

"Who knew something could beat out booooyyyysssss?"

"Oh, no Connor - Siv's talkin' about Boys with a capital B, not the regular kind."

as this is Kerri made it is delicious. She nudges dagmar at her teasing over her being boy crazy but in a good natured way
