"Why does everything have to be about dating, anyways?"

"Yeah, always about dating" tiffany says 'It's never about two troll girls running and scaring the hell out of their parents' Dryly "Are the good ole days gone already?"

"Sorry, Miss Tiffany, it's just uhm.. we have a rash of romantic troubles here and I'm afraid we're running low on knowing what to do about any of em"

"They overreacted. We were fine."

Tiffany shrugs "I don't have pups, and I'd probably be a tiger mom if I did."

"Well, stop being dramatic."

"Vali is, like, the least threatening guy."

"He wouldn't hit you."

"I'm sure of it."

Tiffany growls a bit, "Your empathy is positively whelming"

"Siv? Dagmar?" The Chieftain is approaching the boat shelter. "How are the ropes coming?"

'Done, mum but.. ah, we have a guest" SHe gestures to Tiffany

Tiffany stands up and bows. "Your Chainbreakiness"

"Done? Already?"

Then a look to Tiffany, and a nod. "Welcome, Tiffany. All is well?"

"We did two hours the night before" Siv explains "While there was light out."

"Yeah..."

"So...ready for spot check?" Her daughter knows this is not an empty threat.

Dagmar tenses up, that defensive hostility creeping into her expression.

"We are..." Siv says

Tiffany was about to ancwer the Chief but quiets

A nod. She climbs up on the deck and begins checking various spots for likely wear, checking fixes. "Thane Tiffany, if you wish to join us on deck, you may."

"Apparently I have cooties' The young woman says

"Oh?" Then she pauses at a particular rope splice. "Siv, which of you did this one?"

Her chin juts out more.

"what?" startled "Dagmar pulled it tight but I approved it"

She shoots Siv an 'I told you so' look.

Brekke nods, tests it by pulling on each side...then nods again and moves on.

"Thane, I do believe that all aboard have had their 'cootie shots'..." Examining the anchor rope.

Dagmar shifts her weight, arms folded and a fierce expression.

Brekke finishes the ropes inspection near the prow of the ship, and pats the figurehead of the bird-of-prey while she's there before turning to the girls. "Well done." A nod.

"We're done?" Skeptical.

Another nod. "You are done."

The Thane steps on

Siv beams "Thank ye, Captain"

A bit of a grin to Siv. "It is good work. Thank you. The ship will benefit."

Dagmar seems... bewildered?

Then she turns to Tiffany. "Have you been aboard before, Thane Tiffany?"

Tiffany looksk around "Me? Uhm, no bubble heads and ducktails for this dogface, I don't dogpaddle for a living." A run of fingers long it, "Vali makes a big deal about his days as an aquamarine"

Tiffany notices Dagmar's bewildered look, "Easy kiddo. she's a blue like you, not a gray. The Union isyour common mission"

"Mm." Nodding. "He was quite the young adventurer, young Vali. He should be about somewhere, if you seek him."

Tiffany draws her attention to Dagmar's expression. "Problem, Dagmar?"

"Oh... he came by the coffee shop, changed his order... I've.. I'm not sure. He's asking a latte"

"No?"

Brekke's brows knit slightly at the girl's answer, but she merely nods slowly, then looks back to Tiffany. "I am not sure I understand."

"Well, that's why we're twinsies" Tiffany sighs "Don't worry. I've already been told not to use your washingmachine. "

An aside, to Siv. "Pooka are confusing."

A blink. "Now I am very sure that I do not understand. Our washing machine?"

"My laundry, you shouldn't have to clean it" TIffany says , her tail drooping "It's.. you know. Career vs love, it's easy peasy no need to whine about it"
