Dag curls her shoulders, looking down at her food.

He reaches over and plucks a thigh from the basket, giving it a sniff. "Is there paprika in here?"

"Tove, when I said that..." Jaymes somehow realizes he's in the weeds. He's not sure how he got there but...

Tove ignores him, "no, no paprika. It should be safe for your cat"

Tasting a crumb off the skin. "Hm. Oregano... cumin..." Concentrating. "Something different than Kerri added. Oh. Nutmeg? You added nutmeg, didn't you?" Nodding, and setting it aside to wrap up in a bit. "Ann Marie does a very midwestern style - casserole and hot dish. Mostly bland glop."

"Someone needs to tell her that just because I like it -older- doesn't mean it shouldn't have flavor." He shrugs a bit.

"Well i'm sure she puts a lot of love into it, Symon but let her know," Tove rises and makes sure her own fingers aren't greasy "Pardon me. I should go. Good to see you again, Dagmar" A cooler tone "Jaymes" And off she starts to walk

Dag is very, very quiet.

He ducks his head, and whispers towards Jaymes, just. "...dude."

..And she's stopped eating.

"Tove, please, Dagmar stopped eating because of your food..i mean, because of this we..."

"STOP IT!" The teenager is up to her feet.

At THAT declaration by Jaymes, Tove looks at him as if she can't believe he... did he just? what is WRONG with him?

He edges towards Dagmar. "Wanna split?" He whispers under his breath.

Tove turns to Dagmar "Dagmar, you've done nothing wrong. I'd swear to it"

"I'm... I'm Walking Symon Home."

She turns, stomping out. Symn can follow.

He does, slinking after her. As they get out of earshot he says, changing tghe subject... "There's an arcade at that old mall over on 8th and Peterson. I think they have the original X-Men 4 player..."

Tove glares at Jaymes "You are so... talk to her when she gets back."//"I was going to but I also..." // She holds up a hand and walks out herself

And so Jaymes is alone, with a room half painted and spicy chicken he's not even fond of.

"What just happened?" He asks the air. But no one answers.

At the lodge , Siv beams "It came! " And grabs a package off the stoop

and upstairs she goes with it to her room.

A squee of happiness

"Mom, Dad, I'm going to a party at Teaneck! "

"Don't worry it s all fae!"

"I'll drive you." Frank rumbles from his desk.

She comes down the steps "You sure dad? I've got a lift here in the next hour"

"I didn't think the costume would make it in time! but the Amazon Chimera's spear carried it here fast"

Frank goggles.

"Tis a costume party" She explains

"What.... how.... is that......"

She looks down "Lady Swashbuckler outfit, all sallory. Thinking of getting some voile like it actually. Snazzy yes?"

"What kind of party -is- this!??"

She blinks, growing worried about her father's hearing "A.Costume.Party." A bit louder and more pronounced so he gets this time. "Baron Kealan ap Scatach's hold has a mixer for wilders in the County."

"Kealan." muttered.

"Tis an open party da, you can't blame a lord for being nice to the whole county" A roll of her eyes "Well ye could, but it'd not be reasonable"

The grump struggles briefly amd finally says "Well. Fine. You need a coat, though."

"And a real weapon."

"A real weapon? Sure I guess.. but it's not that cold really why the coat?"

"Sonyou dont need to use the weapon."

"What? that makes no sense.." She goes upstairs, and has a true weapon with her, and the coat folded in her hand "Da. I't's a party. but it's also a hold. There will be guards nearby in ear shot. "

Frank is getting keys & shoes. "I dont trust them, either."

"Daaaaa" Somehow turning into three syllables, "I..."" She sighs then stops "You're trying to be good aren't you?"
