More dust flies, and probably a fair amount of mildew as well.

Good thing for masks! Though her eyes do water up a bit.

"Gona wanna let that air out" Vali observes to Jaymes at the scent of mildew.

Siv pulls back once it's done, "Well ,we got that done in no time" she smiles, then looks eagerly to her mother "May I go to see Dagmar's room, mother?"

A nod. "Yes. Go lightly on the stairs until we are sure of them." Brekke has learned well the specific gravity of teenage girl feet on stairs....

Mask off again. "C'mon!" And Dag thunders up the stairs, heedless of Brekke's admonition.

Another assessment of the flooring. "What are you planning to do instead of that carpet, Jaymes?"

A slight sigh at the thunderous stomping.

Siv doesn't stomp.... as much. But she too is gone

Jaymes watchees them go then turns to Brekke, "Hardwood flooring, I like the look better, should be easier to keep clean."

She sweeps the door open, grinning - the paint is dingy, the carpet worn, but the room has a high ceiling and an alcove set with tall windows.

A nod. "Agreed. It will go nicely with the look of the place."

"Hey, this is nice" Siv says and means it "you got your own niche here, and your horns don't bump anything"

She nods. "I'm gonna put the bed there, like it's own special section, right?"

She hears the girls moving around upstairs, then says to Jaymes, "We will also work on warding the edges of the property."

Jaymes nods "I'm getting some advice. I figure a floor's a floor more or less, but Tove says there are shades of wood that are just as subtle as the colors of a rainbow..." A shrug "I don't quite understand that. ANyway she has made some suggestions." At the mention of warding, "I appreciate that. It'll be just her and me here most of the time and that means sometimes just one of us. I hope she visits the lodge a lot."

"And then, here, a giant bean bag... or maybe a chair? But I think a bean bag. If Jaymes says okay."

Jaymes also lowers his voice "About wanting to see her room right away? did I handle that..." Embarrassed to ask but clearly wants an opinion.

"And he said I can pick the color, too!"

"Ha! A big gray one so you can imagine you're snoozing on a storm cloud?" Siv opines

A nod. "You did very well."

"Has she been attacked since moving out of the Browns' house? I have not heard anything, but I do not know if she would tell me."

Vali agrees with Brekke, "Look, Gerd's still young, but kids of any age need boundaries and you provided some without being too aggressive about it. Remember, the key to good management is rigid flexibility"

"I dunno. Not grey, grey's sad."

"Nope, last attack was a giant scorpion at the Browns house" Jaymes says "Vali and I took it out." He rolls his eyes at the 'rigid flexibility' line

Brekke contains a grin at Vali's 'fatherly' advice.

"I like blue. And red."

"Then no gray," Siv says "Blue and Red it is, that's gonna be the fun thing about this being your room is its yours. Your style and your own."

A sigh. "Giant scorpion." She shakes her head. "Vali, I know I should not ask...but have you seen anything that might indicate who is sending these things?"

"Not too many superheroes. You think... just a few might be okay?"

"Images of long arms" Vali says, his normally cheerful and easy going demeanor shifting to somber and guarded "SOmeone trying to hold back the dawn, and she's the key, if he can break the key... the dawn won't come."

"Not like a little kid, but, you know, cool."

A scowl. "Long arms...."

Siv says "Bah, lots of folks like superheroes now a days, no shame in it. Grown men buying models and such. A poster isn't silly, its... what's the word? A pop culture phenom caught as art?"

She sighs. "I feel that I ought to be able to unravel that. But it is not coming to me."

"Well, I dunno."

"You think I'd get a computer?"

"But I am glad there has been a pause in the attacks." A look around. "Do you want us to work on more of the carpet, Jaymes? We can manage without the girls."

"I think it has to do with a past life, maybe her's maybe someone else's" Vali says

Jaymes grunts at Vali's opinion, taking it seriously but not sure what else, then answers the Chief, "Yeah, let's get the other one, it's this bonus room "

"A...bonus room?"

"Going ot make it into a guest bed room" He says OOC: Ignore the bit about it upstairs

"Ah. Those are often useful."

Siv says "Probably, not a brand new one maybe, but the house would at least likely have something? " She says "Pretty good deals on some older models"

"I dunno. I've never had one of my own."

Vali says "Jaymes, that is a bedroom it's got a closet. Mind you, the closet in that one is the size of a boggan, but it still counts"

Siv shrugs "i'm still struggling to learn technology. I Like computers fine I guess, but I don't claim to understand them. Ma and Da don't want me making up a profile and such yet, but Vali is better with them and has a pretty nice lap top. Maybe he can make some suggestions?" The sailor girl admits, "Don't tell mom, but I think the great outdoors is prettier than any old screen saver anyway"

"Well, sure, but like, there's stuff online.."

"Well, there's no way Tove will be able to store any decent about amount of things in there so I'm still calling it a bonus room" Jaymes says
