"Yeah, the shower's going to take a bit more finese than we have to raise the showerhead on." He gets out the gear needed to rip out the carpets and hands the tools about "Any of you ever do this before?"

"Nope!" She hefts the crowbar, testing its weight.

A chuckle. "Oh, well...a temporary fix on the showerhead is easy enough. I have had to install hand-held showerheads in all the places I have lived before here. Tall people problems. As for carpet...grab and pull, I think. If you do not have masks, you may want kerchiefs over your faces...much is likely living in those fibers."

"Masks I got," he said, Apparently prepared "and yeah, we can hook and tear. With our strength this should be one of the easier jobs. But we need to keep pace" Masks are handed out, guess he went to a local store for them, they're not fancy.

"Gross. Sy is missing out." She takes a mask, puts it on, and proceeds to make Darth-Vader breaths.

"Save him some of the carpet, Dagmar. He will appreciate it. As for keeping pace...a chanty, Jaymes? As aboard ship?" She also puts on a mask.

Jaymes smiles a bit at Dagmar

then "Oh, ah, I don't do chanty's myself much, but ..." A cough "I guess what can we do with a drunken sailor will do it"

"Feel the dark side of the carpet!"

"It's the citrus side I'm tired of" He starts to sing

"Fair enough. Lead the way."

Brekke sets to work with them, her great strength vanquishing carpet without much effort, but working in tandem with their pace. And she joins in on the singing...a surprisingly good singing voice, really.

...mask notwithstanding.

Yes, the mask muffles it a bit, and if anyone has trouble with the lyrics little is made of it.

Dag listens a bit before joining, voice cautious at first.

"Way o, and up she rises way o and up she rises..." They chant as the tear and roll things back. THe cadence turned out to be a good idea, as someone more eager than the other (not naming names) might pull at a faster pace otherwise

"...shave his belly with a rust y razor!..."

More confidence with the refrain - and yes, it does keep her teenage pace in check with the others.

The pattern of the repeating lines may encourage Dagmar to try those, too...and the carpet comes away. The carpet liner underneath may be more stubborn, but it, too, is dealt with.

"That was awesome," Vali says behind them, having recorded their singing and work on this section at least on his smartphone, "You guys want copies?"

She even ventures a line - "yank his shorts to his armpits, higher"

Brekke turns and looks...and GLARES. The effect of which is only somewhat lessened by the mask she's wearing.

Then defiantly joins in on Dagmar's verse.

Jaymes is glad the mask keeps him from smililng.

Almost like she's considering applying the act to Vali....

Vali notices the line, then the glare, and hopes he is not suddenly the subject of the...oh crap, she's thinking about it

"Hi Vali!"

They finish the chorus, and Brekke says, "Do you plan to help, Vali, or only to ensure your eventual consequences?"

"Well, I thought I'd help ," he says then smiles at Dagmar "Hey, Dagmar. Don't worry, I would never put this on other media without your say so" /Jaymes grunts/" Or Jaymes..." A thought "or the Chief's." AHem.

"Oh, I didn't come alone." There's a thunk in the kitchen area

"Oh?" A curious look towards the thunk.

"You better not." Jovially enough, to Vali.

"Hi, Mom!" Siv's voice chimes in from the kitchen "I carried in the snacks and drinks for folks"

"SIV! You wanna see my room?"

"Thank you, Siv!" Brekke calls back. "That will be appreciated. Do you also plan to get your hands dirty?"

A bemused look as it seems some of the work crew is about to abandon the task.

"Course I do, Dagmar! Probably going to be green with envy when it's all done," And then to her mother "Sadly, mother, I was brainwashed by workaholics at an early age. Since when have i been afraid of work now? " she comes in, then realizes what she missed, "Ooo sorry I wasn't here for that part."

Vali is getting a mask on while the others talk

"It was pretty easy. " She pulls off her mask, briefly getting the elastic tangled in her horns.

"Is it only this area, or any of the others?" Brekke is looking at the now-exposed floor.

"Well we have two more rooms at least to more up on today" Jaymes says answering Brekke's question as he looks at Siv and Dagmar, then "Can the show of the room wait, Dagmar?"

"But I want to show her..."

An eyebrow at Dagmar's reply, but she says nothing.

Vali gives Jaymes a look, and indeed the normally stoic grump appears momentarily off guard, then, as if facing a sphinx with a riddle Jaymes says "Okay,. you will show her after the next carpet then. WIth all of us on it, that one should go really fast."

The mask hides much of Brekke's expression, though there might be a hint of approval in her glance. "Where next, then?"

"Dining area" He says

"Okay." She shrugs, amiably enough.

"When was this house built, Jaymes?"

She follows into the next room.

"It's about fifty years old at least, I know the last renovation attempt was in the nineties" He answers OOC: ANd I Hope I'm remembering this right BIC :"Unless I' mixing it up with the other houses. " Masks are put on again if taken off, and they tackle the dining area floor to another song.
