Sylvi catches the sound of Dagmar laughing and looks over...and bites her lip a moment before completing the dance with Fergal. "Thanks, that was nice."

"Sylvi's a pretty name"Fergal says "And yes it was, thanks"

And he does leave her be.

As the dance ends, Dag steps back. "Thanks, Colton."

"You're welcome, and thanks back. I'll work on the bangs" He grins and turns

Dagmar drifts back to the fence again.

There are still a boggan and an eshu waiting to dance with Sylvi...but she glances at Colton.

And Suddenly Leta to the rescue, snatching the boggan up. And Siv sees this, and..grabs the Eshu

Colton smiles and looks to Sylvi, "I think the other girls just stole the other guys. I.. didn't pay them or anything" he swears

A blink. "I didn't even think that...until you mentioned it." A challenging smile. "So...shall we?"

"Dance, walk, talk, whatever you like" Colton says

"I...I think...walking? Maybe talking?" Her smile has turned a bit shy. "And hopefully Dad won't blow a fuse."

"it's worth the risk" Colton says, taking her arm and walking with her a bit "Besides, your mom can patch him up again."

She smiles...and they walk a bit away from the dance floor and bonfire light. "You got Dagmar to laugh."

"She's pretty funny herself when she wants to be," he says to Sylvi, giving credit where it's due. "But I'm glad she had some fun. I don't think she likes crowds."

"Yeah...she seemed pretty down earlier." She gets a bit quiet as they walk.

Jaymes appraoches Dagmar, "You want a soda or something? I'm about to raid the cooler"

She tenses, flushed with shame, when Jaymes approaches.

"Did you have a good Beltane?" Sylvi asks awkwardly.

"I did," Colton says, "I need to work on my Caber skills, clearly. Man, the Chief can chuck wood, but yes. You?"

Golden eyes stare at the older troll as Dagmar stands tongue-tied.

Jaymes sighs, then says "Look, Dagmar Can we talk?"

"Yeah. I really did. It's...kinda funny how it's different now. Not being a childling, I mean."

"It's a wild ride, no pun intended" Colton agrees

She flinches and nods. "I'm sorry. I am. I should have told Frank what I did. I'm sorry." Her hands curl into fists, hidden behind her back.

"I'm sorry I..." he pauses, "you're apologizing? Huh. I think I need to as well." Jaymes takes a seat a good five feet away from her.

A bit of a laugh from Sylvi...and she falls silent, not sure what to say.

She swallows, looking down, away... "Sorry. Shouldn't have... I lost my temper..."

Colton says to Sylvi, "Ah.." Unsure where to go, "Leta seems nice. her friends are too?"

"Apology acccepted," Jaymes says, "And I hope you'll forgive me for opening an old wound."

"Are you going to tell Frank?" Fear, driving away any other emotion.

A pause, "Frank and I talked about you. I told him I screwed up, got you hurt. got you angry."

"Well...I guess so? I mean, yeah, Leta's great. I don't really know about her friends, I only talked to one while we were dancing. But they seem nice, yeah." There are the tables and benches still set out on the lawn. She goes to take a seat near the table with the vase of flowers. "Kelly's funny."

She shatters. "Oh."

Colton takes a seat, and smiles, "Yeah, he's pretty cool. He lives near Firnost, but doesn't actually go there much? So... he goes to my school and I invited him along to ER and then, well,he tagged along. I hope that's okay."

"It's fine," Sylvi nods. "I'm glad you did. It's Beltane...the more, the merrier." Then a pause. "Huh...I never really realized that that might be a double-entendre...."

Jaymes looks at Dagmar, "Dagmar. Frank still thinks you're awesome. So do I actually." A sigh "I just wish you saw in yourself what others do. "

"At least the others here"

"But I broke the rules."

Colton smiles, "I was at a Fiona hold. That's their house language."

Jaymes raises a brow "No blood of mine hit the ground, no tears of mine were shed. We were not in the hold. You broke no rules, and even if you had- so what. Look, I'm extra Seelie this time of year, but let me share a quote with you. Law is meant to serve man, and not men laws. you know what that means?"

She shakes her head.

Sylvi grins. "I remember. From Carnivale, I mean." She looks at him. "I liked dancing with you without the disco ball thing. And without....you know...things on the edge of about to get crazy." A little laugh.

Jaymes explains, "It means that utilmately? Laws are tools, and no, not that kind of tool... they are here to make our lives better, make us better, but when they become too rigid, when they do things like ..well, make unssaineed teenage girls criminals for being merely mortal, they need revamped or at least considered . We are not slaves to laws, we are the upholders of them, and sometimes when we let a law drop. it's a GOOD thing. Now not saying losing our temper is 'good' but it's understandible. You want an example of a law that needed changing? Try slavery. used to be legal through out this whole country. Legal did not mean right though."

Colton blushes "Yeah, good kind of crazy but..still."

"So I'm not... not being removed?"

Sylvi blushes. "Yeah." She looks down.

"no, absolutely not, we still want you. We're just trying to figure out the best way for you to feel at home as one of the fae." Jaymes takes a breath, "you think that we're all eying you because there's something wrong with you ,don't you?"

A little shrug.

Colton feeling bold, cups Sylvi under the chin and lifts her so he can look in her eyes, "I have had a wonderful night,particularly when I've been with you. You are the best part of my whole holiday."
