Kerri looks up from her discussion with the Chieftain and Mountain to check on Siv and her gentleman caller.

"This your first holiday?" A flicker of fingers towards the mingling fae. "They're all pretty much like this. Small-talk, hobnobbing, a little dick-waving and too much food. Someone always ends up drunk, and sometimes a pooka draws on their face. That's fun. There should be a big fire tonight though. I like that part - everyone tries to jump over. Maybe someone will fall in." His tone indicating that this might liven up the party a little. "Samhain - Halloween, that's more my speed."

"I like getting you gifts" Colton admits, "it makes you smile."

"You think it'd be okay to get seconds?" She looks over at the massive spread. "Lots of people around. Sylvi knows them, but... just... lots."

"I think so. Even if it's not, there's a big crowd here and two-thirds blue, they won't remember who went through the line." A nod. "Ann-Marie says she helps package up leftovers for the local food pantry, so it sounds like they always make too much anyways."

She chews on her lip considering it. "True."

Siv has definitely been snogging Vano, looking lightly mussed and unmussing herself... but Keri reads beyond that

"Oh." That makes her smile, too. "That's a pretty good secret."

"You seelie today? I've been feeling funny today. Frank said that happens on Beltaine, sometimes. Opposite on Samhain."

Colton smiles, "But I promise, sometimes it'll be just me. that way it'll be more of a surprise when I do get you something"

Dagmar and Symon can see others are getting seconds

Kerri tries to catch Siv's eye as a warning before saying to the other two, "Well, good, yes, I think that's everything."

He gives his head a shake. "I don't think so. You going to go squishy on me now? If you start skipping through the daisies and talking about knightly duties, I'm hiding under the sludge table." A faint grin.

Sylvi smiles, "That's fine, too. I like surprises." Why yes, that is a very flirty look she's giving him.

Colton smiles "Such as? or..does this defeat the point by asking?" A touch of flirting himself

Her shoulders curl and she shakes her head. "I won't." She fiddles with the empty plate. "Just... feel funny. That's all."

"Hey, want seconds, Dagmar??" Gerd seems to have master Flicker flash at last, but only for the purposes of startling folks at parties

"It does, kinda, a little." Sylvi's smiling up at him. "How do you feel about surprises, though?"

Siv notices the hearth, shoots her a look not of animostity or annoyance, but confidence and thanks both she motions to Vano to follow her a bit further out.

She turns purple at Gerd's question. Another shake of her head.

"Okay, but it's Really good ...even the game hens.' She her own plate, "I like to pretend this one was a rooster" A touch vindictive is Gerd's tone.

Brekke and Frank are returning to the other gathered adults, settling in to chat about local happenings and the wonders of the Kestrel (certainly a widely-known treasure here after Siv's little escapade, and there will be tours later).

"I think hens are the opposite of roosters."

He starts to reply, only to get startled once more by the wee troll. Going quiet for a moment as they chat.

A bit of a frown from Kerri....

"oh, well, i thought that was an honorary term, still... hens are mean too. They peck at you if you just try to get their eggs. Whiney butts, not like they were going to hatch" Gerd says//Vali calls over, "Gerd, come over here, I think's Zane's little sister would like to hear your stories."

Gerd turns, "She would? Neat. be right there. " And waves to Dagmar and Symon and off!

Oversized hands worry at the edge of the paper plate, creasing and refolding until it droops.

As she moves away, Symon whispers up to Dagmar. "Didn't mean it in a bad way, you know. Even if you go Light Side, you don't have to be all stick-in-the-mud. I mean, Rey was cool and Kylo is a douche, even if he dresses better."

"Rey's kind of boring. I like Poe better." A pause. "But Kylo is a douche."

Kerri waits about five minutes...then sends the dogs off to check on Siv.

"He rows the one-man douche-canoe. Let's hit the table one more time, then She can't scold me for not eating enough today. I want to see if those hand-pies hold up for next week, hm? Grab me one?"

She nods. "Yeah, sure. Come with?"

Kerri's voice may carry to where Dag is sitting, "...I think I may have overprepared again." with a laugh.

Colton answers "Sometimes surprises aren't pleasant, but from you? I'd take the chance"

He slides away from the wall and accompanies Dagmar. "If you don't eat enough you might faint. When you're as big as you are, especially. Then they'll all get in your face, oh are you okay, blah, blah. Better just to take what you want now. And a couple extra pies for later."

Sylvi rather abruptly throws her arms around Colton's neck and kisses him...and the kiss lingers...

Colton IS surprised, but yeah, this is under the definition of pleasant, and he responds in kind

She nods, walking back to the table. Another hamburger. And a hot dog. And jello. And maybe some chips. Symon's plate is stacked with handpies and cookies.

Brekke's gaze is scanning the group, comfortable with the happy faces she sees enjoying her Lodge...though the smile falters a bit. "Kerri...have you seen Siv?"

A moment later, from outside the door, "Damn it, Oak, Edelweiss. I had him already geez."

yes, that was Siv's voice

OOC: Pardon, the ldoge door, she went outside with the Eshu

"So you staying until dark, with the fire? I told the Browns I was doing homework, so they'll probably not mind if I stay late."

((Okay, to clarify...pretty much everybody is outside, as the tables were all hauled out there for the day. The only ones indoors right now are Colton and Sylvi, as far as I can tell. I thought Siv led the eshu to the treeline.))

Brekke stands and excuses herself from the table, looking towards Siv's voice...and the bounding hounds returning.

Siv is coming her hair, and straightening her voile. That said, Brekke might notice a touch of blood on her daughter's right hand
