"But you said a tree fell on him? So...yeah, that's totally not fair, to hunt him then. Did he get away safe after the hour?"

She nods.

"Yay!" Gerd says with excitment.

Siv gives a low whistle, "Okay, maybe not all the cool stuff happens on sea quests after all." A grin, "Good work, Dagmar."

"That is So Cool!" Sylvi smiles brightly and impulsively gives Dag a hug.

"So. I'm late." A shrug, then a look of surprise at the hug.

"It's okay!" Sylvi says, letting go. "You didn't have to be here at any particular time, but we just got worried something bad had happened."

'come on in, Mr. Olgar's grilling, and we got enough food to even feed a horde of DeBukes" Siv grins

"Yeah, come get something to eat, there's TONS."

...which might not be an exaggeration.

"Oh. Okay." Another nod. Her lips draw into a thin line, a worried expression even as she agrees.

Kerri's rearranging platters as happy locals nosh and chatter and move to and fro.

"And you can tell us more about the Stag Story" Gerd says "Like who you fought and was the Stag glowing? You didn't get a wish, but did like Bramblebrow bless you to the tenth generation?"

"Dagmar, good, I'm glad you're here." Kerri smiles. "Can I put you to work for a moment?"

"Some wolves. And a sidhe. But didn't... didn't really fight. Talked, I guess." She rubs the back of her neck. "Yes'm. What do you need?"

"Can you give these platters a quick wash and refill them with the breads waiting on the kitchen counter? You can help her if you like, girls." To Sylvi and Siv and Gerd.

Sylvi shoots her mother a slightly confused glance, but it's gone a second later.

She nods and picks up the platters, heading for inside.

Siv nods, she did offer to help, and goes to do so. Gerd is in a good mood and rushes to the same.

Kerri doesn't seem to have noticed the glance, so Sylvi follows the others into the kitchen.

About 8 platters...short work for one washer and a drying brigade.

There's some awkward hesitation in the kitchen as Dag faces the sink. Soap. She needs soap. And a sponge? Or a rag - she stands stock still, clutching the platters tight as her eyes dart around.

Things are arranged near the faucets.

Luckily, all is in sight. She knows how to do this, she'll do it right....

Siv will smile, "Don't worry, she'll let us know if we get it wrong, and it's pretty hard to do wrong as long as all sides are clean."

Gerd nods, "Don't tell her you don't need to clean the bottoms of the trays cause you only eat off the tops though- She does not buy that" the voice of experience

Sylvi smiles and takes the first cleaned platter from Dagmar when she's done, and starts drying, moving out of the way.

"Sure. Sure." Dag is meticulous, scrubbing more than the platters likely actually need.

"So...like Gerd said...did Bramblebrow, you know, thank you for your help somehow?"

She nods. "Said he knew stuff."

"Like....?"

"So. Um. Said he could answer one of three questions, because he comes and goes from the Dreaming. And that something was waiting for me in the Dreaming, right?"

She passes off another platter to the drying team.

Sylvi's finished drying and loads up one platter with rolls.

"Oooo" gerd says "An omen"

"Sounds like a Quest. Cool!"

"Huh," Siv says "Something ? Interesting."

She nods. "Yeah. A quest, but I wasn't ready for it."

"Ain't that the way of it," Siv sighs

Dag joins in on platter-loading. "I guess. And it's not just mine, he said. There's other going."

"Then you'll have friends!" Gerd says seeing the bright side

A curious look from Sylvi. "Did he say who else?"

She bites on her lower lip, shaking her head. "Two others."

Siv smirks "Maybe they'll be cute boys and your father won't be able to threaten them with a truck or an axe or anything because you'll be in the Dreaming"

Gerd rolls her eyes as more boys talk comes out of Siv, and whispers to Sylvi "She's got the Beltaine fever bad"

"Don't want any boys. Beltaine fever? Do I... is this like... do I have to do stuff with boys?"

"Can I skip that part?"

Siv laughs, "Yes you can. there's no Beltaine Fever...and I can hear you, Gerd." She says "It's a holiday that has the romance heavy, but there's also arts, crafts, good food, and sport. Heck, you'll probably do well at somee of those"
