She smiles back at him a bit more, her head tilting with curiosity...but then steps back a bit. "Well..."

Ruffled feathers, vaguely out of sorts, watching Cora and Aug with a certain wariness.

He unconsciously takes a step forward.

Indicating the papers in her hand. "I will read these. We should decide when to speak again."

"May I call on you at... at.... You said Earth Shadows?"

"Eiluned held, August. Not sure how welcome you'll be."

"Earthrunes. I don't know how wise that is; they are very anxious about this trod, and you might be challenged when you arrive. Still...if I tell them to watch for you and that you're my...guest...that should not be a problem."

"I have a phone number.... if you'll take it?"

A sigh. "Well, she's probably right."

His gaze darts nervously from lady to lady.

"Oh...those stupid things. Still, they're convenient, I suppose. Yes, I'll take it. I don't have Chloe's phone on me. I left it at her home. But perhaps if you have it written down....?"

"If need be, I'll go with. My title ought to be useful for something. Can probably gain entry if all else fails."

He offers another shy smile. "If you have mine, you can contact me when you wish." He nods "Thank you, Sparrow." He offers a slip of paper to Coradel.

She accepts the paper graciously, then turns to Sparrow. "Yes, thank you. I'll keep that in mind."

When she takes it, he exhales softly.

"Well...I'll be going. August...." And she's not quite sure what to say next.

Another flick of her wings, unable to settle.

"I'm glad to have found you. It was important that I did. And I'm glad that you are well."

"Oh, me too. That is..." He clears his throat again. "I'm glad you found me, you're here and... and thank you. Coradel."

The way he says her name.....

She smiles, but it's slightly uncomfortable. Another curtsey, and she turns to head back to the trod.

He stands watching her.

She finds it and hesitates...but does not look back to them before stepping through.

She rubs at her eyes, scowling now.

When she is gone, August exhales a long, shaky breath.

"Well then." She wiped her hands off on her trews and tugs at the neck of her shirt. "Probably needn't have bothered with all this fuss."

Still watching the rath.

She picks up her backpack from behind the rock, and shoves the coronet into the main compartment*

He remembers to breathe.

"Wow. Oh boy." He whispers.

"Yeah. She's an experience, isn't she? You'd think she was a duchess already."

"She's.... amazing."

"She's.... what? Are you just distracted by her face?"

He shakes himself, all over, and seems to come back to 'now' just a bit. "-Just- distracted by her face? Isn't that enough? And ... the rest... " He trails off helplessly.

"Yes. She's very pretty."

"And proud." Sounding proud of that himself for no obvious reason. Sharp, too, I think.

"Very proud. Yes. Fiona. Think you can make that Lioness...." She stops, shaking her head instead of finishing.

"I don't think I can -make- her anything." He stops, thinking.

He sighs. "Oh, man....."

"No, she's... she has a strong personality."
