Well... it all started....

I drove the old van, named at it's purchase (or near to it) as "Rocket" by the kids after the Little Einstein's vehicle, and discovered it was making ... noises.

And thus started the campaign. DH needs a little lead time to get up to speed on some decisions.

I started repeating that we need a new van, or anything big enough for 6+. Why that many? We live in Florida; we KNOW we might need to evac. 4 ppl, 2 pets, and STUFF. 6+. And it has to be reliable and safe.

So I would drop a note when we were in Rocket together. "Wait, what's that sound? Is that normal? Does it need a check up?" on and off, and so on.

Eventually he got on board and we started shopping in earnest... ok, I started sending him options and THEN he got on board and a short 6 months later we have a new-to-us van.

The Things are verclempt because ... ROCKET... the first car they can really remember as our forever car. I'm calling this new one 'Rocket 2.0' and comparing it with a space station. It's an apt comparison.
