And I have to say, consistently? Riker is my favorite character on ST NG, which I find gets me some funny looks. Love a lot of them, but I truly do enjoy the guy. Even when he makes some screw ups or get s smug

Well, even Kirk isn't Kirk in a way. Folks treat him like a horn dog, but the actual original series? He really wasn't. Had a strict hands off policy with the women under him (Yes, the writing had him with late 60s sexism but they all suffered from that ) and respected their work even if he grumbled about the temptation of Rand. Most of his 'seductions' were "To save the Enterprise I need to seduce this lady" not "Whoot! HAWT CHICK" 🙂 Later into the movies they kind of played up the skirt chaser angle instead. I liked Chris Pine's take okay, but a very different character from the one Shatner played in a lot of ways

Favorite characters if I had to pick now of series I've watched. ST:TOS- McCoy, STNG- Riker, ST:Voyager- The Doctor, ST: DS9- Kira (But Quark and Nog are SO close), Enterprise: Shran!, and I didn't like what I saw of Discovery though I've heard it's improved

Worf does. I love when it was pointed out to him that while he tried to be the perfect Klingon, he was actually far more stoic than most of them. Klingons laugh, they roar. Nothing wrong WITH Worf being Worf, but he's not the Klingon standard despite his efforts

And yes, love Barclay too... poor Brocolli. But he's a Social Stunted success story, and I cheer him on
