My slack has started doing a thing. I must have changed a setting but don't know how to set it back. I type something, and if I arrow key over to change something in what I have typed it highlights the whole letter and I can only ever type over it, not insert something. Any thoughts?

Looks like it's Overwrite mode" which D Pinned correctly - you can turn it off with the insert button
