Miss Eztep is awfully Mean
By Gilbert Green
Hello my name is Gilbert K. Green,
I'm a redheaded boy with all sorts of dreams!
And I'm going to tell you the truthiest truth there ever has been!
Miss Eztep is AWFULLY Mean!
Why she won't let me do battle with the snakes of medusa!
Okay, I guess they were really the hair on the head of Susie DeBusa. But Susie's hair is the snakiest hair I ever have seen, or else my name's not Gilbert K. Green!
I might have tried to subdue the snakes with a crayon of lime! Imagining I was saving Greece of old story time.
But Miss Eztep said,"Gilbert, it's not nice to mess with someone else's head. Why don't you go back to drawing some trees instead?"
Now the people of story time Greece may never be saved, for they have no hero fearless and brave. To slay the snakes of Medusa on Susie's head. Thanks to Miss Eztep, they'll soon be quite dead!
Miss Eztep is terribly cruel!
Later Susie would go on and tattle, when a dragon and I decided to battle! I stood high up on the castle tower, ready to smite it with my glowing sword of power! The dragon swooped at me, foul and grotesque!
Then Miss Eztep came back and said "Gilbert, stop standing on your desk!"
So you see, first she doomed Greece, and now England too! Is Miss Eztep a bad guy, or does she not have a clue?
Miss Eztep is not fair at all!
She stopped me from sticking a fork in the wall!
I was trying to get lightning powers like Thor!
I figured it would only take a few volts or more!
She yanked me away from the wall with a cry of pure fright?
Me? I wasn't afraid, but she sure looked pale and white.
I don't know why she doesn't trust me with me with powerful zaps! I'd fight the villains, then have my snack and a nap. I try to explain to her I'm I'd use my powers with smarts.
She just clutches her chest and says something about stopping her heart.
Miss Eztep is a horrible lady!
When I found that poor bird under the shade tree, the bird wouldn't move. The bird wouldn't sing. That dumb bird wouldn't do any old thing. I'd seen the bird out the window of this old school. I was looking out bored and his soaring was cool.
But now he lay there, all broken and stiff. I told Miss Eztep to fix him, she's good at this! She'd fixed me with band-aids plenty of times, on account I like to leap and to climb.
But she couldn't fix him! I told her to try, I even said please!
But she told me the bird was really quite dead, but then she promised the bird would be flying in heaven instead. So we dug the little bird, its own little grave during Miss Eztep's break.
I no longer fussed about dragons and snakes. The bird was important, they would have to wait.
We said a few words. We bowed our heads. I might have leaked water from the eyes in my head.
"Please don't tell people I cried," I rubbed at my eyes.
"Its okay that you did, but I won't tell," She replied. Then she hugged me and we went back to school.
It's like I always have said, even when I got caught-
Miss Eztep is cool, and we love her a lot.
