vallejo makes good paints. reaper master series are really good too. i’d also recommend getting some flow improver and slo-dri and mixing up some “gunk” to thin your paints. the ratio i use is 5 part distilled water : 4 parts flow improver : 1 part slo-dri. it’ll give you more uniform coverage and get rid of brush marks.

I'm going to try a wet palette instead of additives.

those are good too. i use both. but then i have a bunch of cheap games workshop paint to use up and it needs help.

I know I'm not going to be great at this...no experience...but fresh paint and wet palette should help.

you’ll still want to thin the paints down with water by about 3:1. they’re pretty thick out of the bottle. but experiment, you’ll find your own mix.
