Ugh, I dislike our annual review assessments at work. The boss basically assigns us essay questions pre-review.

• What specific activities do you feel you’ve exceeded expectations, but have not been noticed?
• Specify ways that you feel you may not have delivered what was expected of you this past year.
• What is the single hardest thing you are expected to do on a recurring basis?
• Highlight two specific unsolicited contributions that you made to increase the profitability of our organization.

Yeah, I've got observations coming up. We have to submit lesson plans and answer a whole host of questions before the observation to prove that we know the theory of what we're doing and that we have a clue about who the kids in our classroom are. Then there's the pre-observation meeting...and then the observation...and then the post-observation meeting.

And I have to do that for two separate observations, because the supervisor from the college comes in to observe my concurrent enrollment class.

Symon is enjoying a rare moment of quiet at the lodge, at least. Curled up in the rafters with a good evil book.

Trying to get through to a vendor, they charged us wrong and I tried on Monday, going through an endless loop of phone prompts that kept sending me back to the beginning. Finally submitted a ticket to be responded to in 24 hours - of course no call. Trying agaaaain.

Brekke and Kerri may be uncomfortable about being part of The System, but they know how to use it to their purposes when necessary.
