Well, we had cats. They passed in 2013 but he really took over all care-taking when I got pregnant.

If it is a dark furred cat, it will want to rub upagainst people wearing light clothes, and vice versa.

I promised him he would not have to clean poop once they were dead and the kids out of diapers....

But it was an hour and a half and...... I settled for the new washer/dryer and cat supplies.

Sorry, I'm obviously hoping you find a cat you like, but I can easily visualize your husband thinking something like but PEtsmart doesn't HAVE a Washing Machine

He sent me from the VA to get washer hoses on the way home and... well, Petsmart was there... and....
