I -have- seen some darlin' little pups out there. Kittens are easier. I have the map to the animal shelter printed out, hoping to go have a look-see next week.

I'm not the biggest cat fan, but I almost hope we get one again.

NOW my friend was willing to talk about her mom

*nod* They are very different animals, personalities; cats and dogs, that is. But I think they are great representatives of the kinds of people you might deal with in life, and I love the backstory on domestication for both types. It explains SO MUCH.

Well, she did tell me partially because I don't like being left out of house biz.

B decided to buy a Toaster Oven for the house.

My mom bought me, like, 4 plants last visit. Like, outdoor-garden-landscaping plants.

AND... tried to buy bug spray. Because she saw a bug last night and one day isn't fast enough after her daughter told her she'd handle things.

She did not, however, buy me a gardener.

No. And I brought them into the garage for the hurricane and they died there. *sigh* Hope she enjoyed purchasing them; I doubt she remembers doing it, so there's that.

Oh...B also has this thing about trying to pay for everything. Community group meal "how much for... " And we tell her don't worry abbout it. She was told they had to return the Toaster Oven (Which I think she bought because she hates the MIcrowave or something at this stage. )

And B is like "Just keep the money"

And her daughter has had it up to here with her mom trying to give her money. It is actually more hassle to play treasurer than it is to pay

I told her next itme her mom tries to give her money, take it, and tell her the Gay Lesbian Alliance thanks her

HA! Yes.

Now, that said, there's a lot right with providing her a way to contribute to the household. A LOT right with that.

I think her daughter and she are going to bumpheads on taht one, and it's the way B tries to do it I don't like. Manipulative as fuck .

Oh, and we d o not always refuse. She paid for pizzas one night
