I do wish they would make a clear ruling on it. I mean if you can buy off flaws...you should be able to add merits.

Though...the merits and flaws she got weren't bought...they merely reflected what happened to her.

I bought some later for Jer, since they were published after he was made. And he had been gaining Flaws through play, so it balanced, I figured.

Ice I am trying to keep a little more book-strict right now, anyway -- he hasn't gained any Flaws through play.

Thirteen did not start with Ghost Friend, or what ever that merit is and Hag ridden. They came through play. Once Noah got a hold of wraith...it sort of came over into our other games for a bit. LOL.

But not everyone on line plays by the same sort of set up.

I can see why playing by the book is important. Yet. Crack driver? Is that one you are looking at? Sounds reasonable.

Sometimes Dwight isn't, or it's hard to tell if he is

If he sees him, he gets a chin-lift of greeting, but he doesn't stop. He does whatever business he has in the City, and variously, a short time to a few hours later he goes back through. Sometimes he comes with a pack and leaves without, or vice versa.

For reasons I'm sure you're aware of, Dwight's exact schedule or routine is not obvious unless you're keeping a close eye
