He follows at a discreet distance.

August is not particularly stealthy, but the device seems rather unaware of him, at first. A section of a closed wall suddenly 'opens'... and the Device and the Eshu go on through. He has only a moment to rush after before it closes again.

With a burst of speed Sir Bachdion would be proud of, August shoots forward and finds himself in a new section of the complex. Two chermical pulleys are at the side where the wall closed, holding it tight and hidden. Ahead of him there is a turn to the left or one can go ahead.

Fortunately he hears sounds to the left that sound like dragging so can keep following Ruzgarla

And left he goes.

There was old transport here, and now? Someone has co opted it. As he closes in further, he sees the tunnels widen, and hears the sounds of carriages clattering in the distance.

He moves forward as stealthily as he can.

It is a good thing, the automaton chimera clanks in the distance, now and then its head turns all around.

It's a golem of sorts, steampunkish in design. It'sd about 25 feet away but has not seen him, yet. He can wait here and hope it goes away, retreat and go no further, attack it, try to somehow sneak past it, or cast something on it... or.. well, he can TRY anything really but some paths seem less likely to succeed than others. The Eshu seems to pass some test as the device pulling her goes by the Golem without causing a fuss.

OOC August is still Veiled?

August can feel the cantrip of veiling flickering out... maybe another 15 seconds.

OOC Could he make it past the Golem in 15 seconds? If he ran?

He times his run, and waits for the golem to twist its head a different direction, then breaks! He's no satyr, but he's no slouch either! He moves so fast he catches up with the Eshu being dragged even as he makes it past the goelm.

August chalks it up to adrenaline as he scans ahead to see where the contraption is taking Ruzgala and what challenges might be there.

The veil is gone... he can feel that. He looks ahead and sees a carriage further up ahead still and hears someone banging in it. I trails glamour from whoever is trapped and... the glamour is drunk up almost instantly by wires on the side of the walls which conduct it deeper in!

And Ruzgala?

THat is where it gets interesting... the glamour drain hits her too but... she must be the wrong flavor, for while she cries out in pain, the device pulling her suddenly DROPS her like a hot rock. Ruzgala wakes and looks about "Mmm? Oh shit! It worked too well"

And the cart like mini carriage is trying to race away, a red light blinking from it as if in alarm!

OOC Is there somewhere August can hide?

Not so much here no, Golem behind him.. open tunnel he is in ... he could try to latch onto the next carriage that comes by, he can try to destroy the cart that was dragging Ruzgala. He can dart forward around a corner and hope there is a place to hide to his left or right.

OOC I should say, hide from Ruzgala's view. (That might change your response)

OOC: OH, a simple Wits plus stealth might allow him to avoid her gaze as she just woke up 🙂

August attempts to hide, avoiding her turning gaze, she rises and mutters "Well, the idea of creating the illusion I was a dream dance worked. I just didn't expect the smaller device to be the abductor. Oh, I out clever myself sometimes." Annoyed at herself, she watches the small cart with cables that grabbed her racing ahead, "Damn it, it's going to raise the alarm. Wonderful, I just made the mission of rescuing the chyralids harder"

August hesitates, his suspicions not entirely erased.

Ruzgala has proven to be deceptive when she wishes to be. She bites her lip as she thinks "If I set it on fire, while that cause a bigger mess?"

Speaking to herself, seemingly.

Evidence. The Duke said evidence. That's what I'm here for. August reminds himself.

"Hell with it" She spits on the ground and lets loose magic after it, it catches fire, still racing off "NOt sure it will burn up before it finds someone. Blast."

And at THAT moment, August wonders if the now-burning gadget might have been evidence.....

Eshu seem obligated to make life interesting

She ducks to the other side from where the cart turned to hide and August loses track of her for now. He can follow either the cart or her , of course.

He follows her.

The Eshu mmphs, not pleased with this direction and yet...

When the alarms start blaring all thorugh out this make shift dungeon, she might be glad she took it. A voice calls out along speakers

August knows that means a total of three units, but how many in a unit? And what are the odds he and Ruzgala are in Sector 4, really....? Anything that moves....

The odds are... good. The golem he passsed earlier is heading this way

And anything that moves except Carriages and Carts it seems

And are either of those devices present near August?
