The library is lovely, and as this is a Duchy, quite large. The layout is advantageous, maze like where August can probably 'hide' while also just pursuing.

"Thank you." he murmurs to the pooka, and sets out to learn what he can.

In this case, a connoisseur does just fine. Our hero makes his way through the library researching. A lot of books here are known in Earth Runes as well, and some of them... ones about Dream dances, glamour in general, etc show a lot of recent reading.

Anything about carriages?

'Vehicles of Wonder' contains a chapter or two on carriages of magical nature, from the Couch DeBower (Sp) that delivered the dead, to High Queen Faerlyth's 'Foam dancer' which allows horses to run on even choppy water with that carriage behind them. There is also... a slip of paper someone used as a book mark on this section.

And the book mark has... indentions. Someone wrote on a paper on TOP Of it. A simple pencil trick could make it visible.

He reads the results 'Horses would likely panic underground or deal with the rails..sides, even fae steeds shit. Driverless horseless is the way to go. Only the carriage can betray by willowhisper that way if at all. Lower Bay is half forgotten anyway. Be careful about the passage under the castle. Remember to veil.'

August takes this slip of paper, sliding it carefully into a pocket and continues his search.

With one clue established, he searches about for another. There are fewer books after carriages after that, though some stuff on historical Toronto dates back to their use if he cares

Well, for lack of more pressing information? At least it's something...

More than something... by looking up the history of the city, he uncovers quite the tidbit on transport in the city. Sometimes the race goes to he who perseveres after all

August contemplates this information; nocker work certainly -seems- the most likely. Might the Crysalids be held in this Lower Bay? If so, why?

It appears to be sealed off from the public much of the time, perhaps even ALL the time currently. That would make it ideal.

Jinxy says "Find anything, Holmes?"

"A hint. Perhaps a location. Can we return to your compatriots?"

"MAY we return to our compatriots" He corrects then grins, and motions him to follow

"May -and- can...." August mumbles to himself, but follows.

More footsteps, but the feline pooka guides him down side passages, then back to the safety of the meeting chamber they used earlier

The Nocker and Boggan sibs are there, but he sees no Ducal heir.

"Where is the Duchess?" August asks quietly.

The boggan girl explains "She's explaining to the duke that we didn't do all the things we did" She says with a nod "For the distraction. We have to help you, those were her orders."

"At finding the furking carriages" The nocker clarifies "Cuz that's the plan"

August nods. "Can you get me to Bay and Yonge streets?"

"Fast or quiet?" the nocker asks

"Quiet."

They look to the sluagh. Slip coughs softly, "okay um... you're gonna have to trust me" He reaches into his pocket and offers up something "Drink this, and when I grab you, don't freak out"

It appears to be a bubbly brown liquid in a thin vial with a eraser head stopper.

"What is it?" August regards the stuff dubiously.

"something neat" The boy grins toothlessly then adds "It'll let me carry you out of here in the palm of my hand, baron"

August sighs, and drinks it.

August feels himself collapse, and shrink twisting as not only does he get smaller, but legs burst out of his sides, his mouth turns to mandibles....

until August the Centipede is picked up by a sluagh boy gently "You look great" slip assures him "Don't worry, I have the antidote. I have to tell you that because the last person I used it on got away years ago. I'll find her though, you just wait"

And our hero is picked up , cupped carefully, and smuggled out in the halls. If any adult starts to get curious as to what he is up to , he says "This is my friend, wanna pet him?"

ALL thanes and servants make a face, and decline the honor.

Until the boy makes his way out into the Toronto streets with August the Centipede. It takes a bit, but eventually they get to August's requested place and Slip says "Ready for the ..oh right. I can't understand. Drink from T HIS vial" It is clear looking

August slithers in a figure-8.

"Uhm... infinity? I don't know " He opens the clear vial and lets the centipede drink if it will
