He makes sure Thistle hasn't gotten too far out of sight as he paused, and hurries to catch up.

Indeed, Thistle has moved ahead as she has DOGGEDLY followed her wisp. She is getting her FRIEND back

Anger is there, it is - but that's mostly to mask or stave off growing distress.

And the wisp leading them curls yellow

They travel a bit mroe, it's an MC Escher path come to life. They all three pick up the pace...

Her eyes should stay on the wisp, stay focused, yet, it is lucky, fortunate even, that Thistle catches the glint of the blunderbuss in a side alcove as they move through a twisting hallway of baroque design. Pointing towards Art

"Art! DUCK!"

She makes a broad motion, miming yanking hard on a rope - attempting to Hopscotch the gun out of the holder's hands!

"Huh?" He spins, trying to see what is going on, before actually coming to his senses and dropping, hands atop his head.

THe Blunderbuss is yanked, it also fires, and like it's type, it spreads wide! Had it not been moved it surely would have caught art. Fortunately he goes down, it goes up and misses them barely, razor sharp shrapnel flying. That was NOT Chimerical material, it was autumn material and would have killed him mortal and faee

Thistle snags the blunderbuss after it hits the ground.

"YOU MOTHER FUCKER!" Gladiola moves forward and grabs the goblin by the neck, slamming her against the wall of the tunnel , choking the life out of her

the goblin who had fired at Art never had a chance as the choke hold is spot on

Gwen's eyes are dark, almost black even where there is white and she keeps squeezing "Thallian need to learn to stop messing with my friends"

The goblin was green, she's looking kind of blue. It's only luck her neck wasn't snapped

"Gwen! GWEN! I'm okay! I'm OKAY!" He squeaks, then repeats louder.

"We can't lose the wisp." Gun in hand and pressing forward.

Gladiola says "it's a thallian, art, not protected by the Escheat, and not WORTHY of it....why should I..." then she seems to realize that they do need to be moving on. SHe drops the gobliln "It's your lucky damned day." She eyes the hands on the ground, then stomps one, then the other... leaving three fingers broken on the right, two on the left, "If I ever see you again, goblin... I'll keep breaking other bones, and I'll have you healed wrong"

The goblin would scream , twice in fact, but the lack of air she is only now reclaiming makes it more like a high pitched wheeze. She looks over at Art with pure hate , "The troll won't be around to protect you for ever...dark star. One of us will get you... you.. you wait"

Thistle's finger is getting a workout today!

And she has a shiny new blunderbuss

"Thank you, Gladiola. I know... it deserved it. But we have to find Citrine. That's more important." He says to Gwen as they move on.

"...razzerfraggin' ragshambler, takin' my Never, no furkin' respect for autonomy, glory-seeking vainfainer..."

"yes yes... you're right" Gladiola says "But I meant what I said. I see her again, I'll break every bone in her body..." She growls "Tired of thallian"

And they continue, chasing a light that shines with desperation and hope alike

Art laughs, a little shakily as he looks back at the place where the blast hit, and how close he came to being hit. "I do not blame you."

"Goblins are assholes."

"But THEY ain't stole Citrine."

The wisp leads on and Thistle follows it... doesn't stop folks from trying to sell them things as they enter something of a market area

"Direct from Skyhook, the MOOBulator, Fathers, now you can breast feed your babies too. Motherss, now you can get some sleep" One fellow calls

"Behold, the Blamethrower! You've seen it in the movies, where do you think it really came from? FUN at parties! Great to keep the office lightly" One offers an odd weapon up

Art goes an interesting shade of pink and looks elsewhere.

One vendor has jars! Rows and rows of jars with glowing lights in them. "FUBARS! GETCHER FUBARS!"

"Constellation Vaping, puff along and you two can send out vapor with various stars of the milky way floating before you! Puff out a Pegasus! Breathe out a Bootes! Isn't a Big Dipper delight worth a SLIGHT risk of cancer?"

"Steady Art" Gwen says at that last one

Art glances that way for just a moment, then, "I prefer my Cancer in the sky rather than in my lungs."

Thistle may have attracted a few rogue Nevers or other small chimera as she focuses on following the wisp - they just do seem to follow her.

He DOES peer at the jars, but calls to Thistle, "These are just wisps."

"AND Glitches!" Complains the Vendor.

Thistle's wisp suddenly quivers and turns at a right angle... towards where a custodian is sucking up stray glitches, fubars, and sparks with something that looks like a cross between a proton pack and a handvac.

Gwen blinks "Ah, I think your wisp is getting stolen?"

"HEY!" She hollers.
