How many rooms did Gwen book? Art heads to take a shower in whichever one he reaches first... the sewer muck still clinging to his slacks.

Gwen booked a suite if she could. Something interconnected. Might cost more but mroe secure

Into the bathroom he goes, leaving Thistle and Gladiola for a time.

Thistle did insist on FINISHING her paperwork and turning it in before leaving Goblin Town.

Now, she has a small hoard of goodies.

Gwen got a bowl and a reccomendation and while it was a bit pricey got Chuck what he wanted too

Thistle got PIGMENTS.

Little glass vials holding shimmery liquids. Clusters of dried chimerical plants. A gnarled root. Bags of... pebbles?

The other thing Gwen got was a weapon. Seperated from her spear is fine, but her friends were in danger in Goblin Town, and she didn't have so much as a knife

Citrine has curled up on a pillow and is ZONKED.

She takes the axe out again and feels it "I'm not sure this weapon is going to work in the long run. I mean, the balance is right, but it's ... weird and I feel like there are options i don't even know how to work"

BUt out of all the steampunk themed melee weapons at that shop, it was the most managable and at a fair right. Still she can't help but worry what the nocker 'imperfection' might be

"It looks cool."

"YEah?" She offers it over to be looked at "the balance is REALLY good, the edge is fine"

Thistle inspects it!

There is a gear widget on the back of the head. What could that possibly do?

And several recessed buttoned on the far end of the shaft...

didn't she get an instruction manual?

"I just figured if we got int torouble I'd want at least a chimerical weapon that could defend ..." Then she hears a click

There is a soft click! That just barely warns Thistle in time, before the axe head shoots off and imbeds itself into the far wall with a THUNK!

Still, the recoil sets her back a bit.

Correction - A YELP from the bathroom as the axe head smashes into and imbeds itself in the bathroom door!

"I'LL BE RIGHT OUT, I'M SORRY!"

"So that's what that button does!"

"Oh sweet Custer's BUTTHOLE. I need to return that thing for a refund"

A fine sheen of nearly invisible line leading to the axehead, she could press the second button?

Ah, tiny text she missed. "Extend" and "Recoil"

"No way! This is awesome!" Second button!

"We're gonna get a repair bill" Worried

SHUNK! The axe head flies back! Str + Athletics, or she gets knocked down by recoil.

"Lots of potential here! You're sturdy, you should be fine."

She does take it back though, if only to keep her friend from killing art "Sorry, Art. wasn't you , this axe is weird"
