Thistle calculates the slippery spots, gets the glide co efficient right, and with more nimbleness in her feet that most expect, doesn't let it slow her down. Gwen, Gwen is an athlete and it shows

They gain on ttheir target. They can hear "Chime! CHIME! CHIME!" and a voice yelling "Shut the furk up!"

"HEY ASSHOLE!"

The asshole in question calls out "It's mine now, out of towner! Welcome to NEW YAWK!" And he vanishes to the side, kind of..dropping into something? There's a huge woosh sound, not unlike a dozen toilets being flushed at once. For a moment Thistle might fear this is akin to magic trods she's heard of, but no.. no silver... but there is a bit of glamour5

"She's not an IT!" Furious!

Art huffs, and reaches down to run his fingertips through the nasty, fetid water even as they hurry down the path.

"A little light is filtering from the water,
It does not wish you to hurry...
The path is wet and slick and full of dark danger..."

He flicks a bit of muck in the direction of the one they chase - sending a bit of Foul Fortune the way of the Perp.

It may not stop him, no, he's already vanished? But perhaps, a kink in his plans later on.

The cantrip surges forward with a strength Art has never cast with before! For a moment his eyes glitter with a dark purple light as he casts, and there's an odd sense of tightening like strings were being drawn TAUT

They close on where the jerk ass WAS and see it...

A log flume? Some kind of steam tech long flume... to the side. The nevern apper dropped in it... and they have to wait for the next one to load up! It's takihng FOREVER (IE at least 30 seconds, maybe a minute)

"Hurry up, you rusty pile of defective tinker toys!"

Art catches his breath as they wait, wiping his hand on his slacks. "I.. I think maybe I slowed him down. I hope."

"I don't know what you threw at him, Art but it looked awesome" Gwen seems to be fine breathing wise

"It felt like it hit, but this lugging locomotor has to hurry UP."

"Bad luck, I think?"

Thistle curses the device, and this actually does speed it up, almost as if this set up knew and didn't want to furk around and find out what could be done with it. Instead of a full leisurely minute, they end up merely 45 seconds wait as the next one pulls up, seems to catch, and waits for them to load in. Ther's room for two up front, and two in back (or one heavy troll in back)

"IN IN IN."

A steady stream of expletives rolls under her breath.

Gwen gets in and just in time as the thing starts up scared by Thistle "Holy hell ..."

The wisp ahead of them like a traine engine's light, there is another WOORSH sound and out they go

"I'm gonna...." mutter mutter mutter

A hand rested on her arm. "We'll find her."

"We'll find her, and then I'll..."

"AHHHH" Is gwen's opinon, because the light dipped... and the light dipped because rather than going straight, it turns out they're at the top of some HIGH Point and are now taking a multi story plunge into the black, the wisp and phone their only light. It's a steep angle too!

Art YELPS. He's never been on a ride before!

His 'reassuring' arm pat turned into a death grip.

"Faster, you nudnik!"

Are there any buttons, gears, controls, levers?

Thistle could accelerate it by Glare Alone!

Nope, just places to hold onto... but...

Thistle's glare seems to be working at making it faster a bit

Gravity is a bitch because it doesn't make this thing go faster

but the SPLASH below is spectular, and surprisingly, blissfully, clean! What was a sewer passage and flume has turned into a chute filled with clean water and before them they see it... Goblin Town!

Sure, sure, near-mythical Nocker freehold, wonder of chimerical engineering, home of the Bes Din.... where's Citrine?

Art murmurs back to Gwen, "I hope that the 'goblin' part of Goblin town is figurative rather than literal." Realizing he never did have a chance to change his voile, and their bags now back at the hotel.

"Oh shit" Gwen mutters "me too"

They close in on the chinese puzzle design that seems to shift slightly even as they look at it, yet is oddly oppulant .... the decor even of the unloading area they're fast approaching is a combination of Baroque and Victorian excess: polished wood and brass, muted amber lighting from ingenious oil lamps, glittering gold, mirrors, and great works of art. As they close, they can see that someone has etched on the entry way sides graffiti, some with paint, others with rivets... things like : 'Tweak in the Howse!' 'Janet Was here, and Will be again in 2025' and an odd 'It's pronounced Pee Boo SHAY damn it!' are all written if they look

"Whoa."

He straightens his shirt and brushes his hands clean in the clear water.

"Some of this graffit makes no sense" Gwen says

"Yeah, it ain't drek..." Eyes darting, seeking the wisp. her spirals shift between a furious crimson and an anxious yellow.
