Siv comes into Firnost withh, of all folks, her Father.

"So you think you might have an old contact here?"

"I've stopped by a few times over the years, when I'm on the road. The Bale remains, and is strong, but the Freehold itself is almost abandoned."

"Seems like" SIv says "Sad. It once meant so muuch to mom"

"All of us, of a certain generation."

He looks around the place; there are signs that it's not completely abandoned; footprints in a light coat of dust, some use of the bar, so on.

He looks up at the rafters.

He sees.. something, a sluagh most likely. A pair of eyes rather than six or eight spider eyes, peering down

His eyes narrow, and his expression hardens.

"someone you know?" Siv whispers though she's sure the sluagh can hear

"Hard to say." he rumbles, almost a growl.

A tilt of head, and then... scrambling down slowly is a wilder sluagh, male, Frank doesn't know him, but the fellow bows "meaning no rudeness, sir, lady. My name is Webster Worthy. You've keen eyes, sir"

the fellow has a look of a victorian gent with fine prospects, spider shaped cufflinks made of slightly tarnished silver adorn his slightly moth chewed outfit.

"Mm. I was looking for slaugh up there. Frank King." he introduces himself.

"Siv King" Siv answers as well.

"Well, Mr. King, clearly you found one." Webster says smoothly "Forgive the bluntness, but I am told trolls favor straight forwardness, were you looking for one of my kind because you were hoping to keep your own secrets? In which case may I say Firnost is not the best place to hide secrets from my kind. Or were you perhaps hoping to make inquiry? In which case, while not..gregarious by nature, I am practical enough to engage in conversation."

"Neither. Just wanted to know who else was here."

"Ah" Webster says then ponders "Would you like to know who you have missed then? There may or may not be others and if you haven't spotted them, maybe you would like them spotted for you? "

Siv looks to her dad at that, letting him take lead

"Forgive me, Mr. Worthy, but we've just met."

"And I am most forward, no sir, the fault is mine." he says "Unfortunately , I'm in something of a catch 22. You don't know me well enough to trust my professionalism and thus will reject me, but at the same time, if no one gives me a chance, how am I to build a positive reputation as a dealer in information? "

"how long since you were sained?" Siv inquires "I mean, experience does matter" She says "Apologies"

"Nothing to apologize about. I was sained in the year of our lord 2021" mr. Worthy says "And, of course, had my year and day before that. "

Frank nods. "It can take time to build a reputation."

"Indeed. " Siv says "Please forgive us, normally we'd offer tea but my father is..rightwise cautious"

"Tea? You know your manners, Miss Siv" He inclines his head then says to Frank "I'll leave you be. Mister King. Should you change your mind, I'm at the third rafter to the west from the center beam. Near the troll" And he begins to depart.

"Pardon?"

He stops "We have a troll in the rafters. Not now, but no doubt she'll be back after a time. Her rafter is at the most westerly facing area"

"Have or had?"

Used to folks not hearing him clearly for his whisper, Mr. Webster says "Have. It's not the first time. I'm told. Won't be the last. Regardless, should you see a troll come in and start to hopscotch to a rafter, do not be alarmed. But I suggest you do not try it yourself. Only Westward has the pact"

Siv's eyes bug out a bit "Wait, she's calling herself Westward?"

Frank SCOWLS.

"Of course, the pact wouldn't apply otherwise" Webster says "A contract is a contract is a contract, no? "

"Mmm." Frank glances around for something that can take his weight.

Well, the tables look sturdy

"Well, thank you, Mister Worthy" Siv says

He drags the sturdiest over to the rafter location and carefully climbs up; he's 9 feet tall in his socks so the height of the table should let him peek.

"mister king" A warning whisper "I don't suggest you..."

Spiders begin to scurry out, small ones, but something larger moves scuttling in the shadows

Frank's not meaning to pry; just put eyes on the location 'Westward' is nesting.

The spiders.. hover waiting. clearly if he puts hand to rafter they will take offense

There is some stuff that is too newish to be to a sluagh's liking. It does not appear to be any of Jessica's property, thank goodness. There is a denim jacket , smaller than he expected, a hat (Hard to tell what type in the shadow), and a few books.
